review the process. This is not even worth $1.00.
very, very dissatisfied.
This press does not press the garlic as finely as I was accustomed to. My previous presses were pampered chef-- but the coating kept scraping away or the hinges would breakso I wanted to try a different press after going through 3 of those over the course of a few years. A few days ago I was pressing the garlic through and the metal snapped. JUST SNAPPED!!! Right at the hinge. I was crushing PEELED garlic.
Absurd. I had this press for 4 months. I paid more for this at Williams Sonoma than it is sold for here on amazon. But, in all honesty, I wouldn't use this press again even if it was free. Shoddy shoddy piece of equipment.
i like to put mine in the dishwasher, which got it pretty clean, but messed with the finish. it made it all warped.
it broke after a few months of using it. one of the presser things fell off and couldn't be re-attached. i'm going to purchase a different garlic press, but thanks amco for introducing me to the world of garlic presses!
The slice section is great for stir fries and the press is... a press! The best of both worlds.
I use this device daily and this is a replacement for one I had for about 10 yrs.
It slices and mints the garlic quickly and effortlessly, unless you freeze your Garlic and use the device while the garlic is still frozen like I do. Then you will need a replacement in a few years.
Clean-up is not the best but keeping an old toothbrush near the sink helps.
I have not had any tarnishing, has not bent, blades are still sharp 6 months later.
I have used this make/model for over 10 years before it finally broke at the hinges.
But I blame me, not the device.
As mentioned above I freeze my garlic and I don’t always take the time to thaw it out well.
So that leads me to apply much more force and pressure than recommended.
I had used and tried various devices such as this after I broke my last one and they have all fallen apart within weeks or you had to swap out the ‘blades’ for the slicing and pressing/mincing.
Too many parts to get lost and bent up
