Great camera so far! I've had it less than a week and found it to be easy to set up, decent video quality for the price, has lots of options, and works well and stays put.
I did have a problem at first because the included memory card was corrupted, but the seller quickly responded to my email, offering to send a new one or pay for a replacement.

Only comment is that my car cig lighter turns off when ignition key not in so parking mode is unavailable. Yes could get a hardwire kit but then the risk is flattening your battery. Have been told there is supposed to be a battery monitor coming out which is used with hard wire kit this would then allow parking mode to be operational & stop battery being flattened but yet to see the next base battery monitor anywhere. Images and video are clear and well captured, can easily read the number plates. Like the map positioning. So up to know would recommend it if battery monitor was available. Yet to try it at night time.

I particularly appreciated the enclosed Quick Start Guide. Very easy to understand. The enclosed CD gives detailed and well written instructions but with any new toy you want to see it working ASAP and the allows you to 'just click and go', as it says on the Next base box. In fact, I decided to fiddle around with the buttons awhile to see what they all did and I did plug it in to a USB charger to top up the battery, which took about half an hour to reach full charge.
Fitted the card, plugged the lead provided into the cigarette lighter of my and found the device had started recording right away. Turned it off, and fitted it securely to the cleaned windscreen behind the rear view mirror. It is inconspicuous and seems to be very secure. Tucked the generous lead easily behind the screen trim etc and went for a drive.

I rarely give 5 stars to much of anything. I've been using it since I got it, but hadn't looked at any of the recordings until now. Wow. That is some great video. Very clear, like I am actually in the car. I still haven't learned either it does and what all of the settings are, but for the purpose I got it for, it is working nicely.

Attempted retrieving the crash today. Camera claims no file. Camera hooked up to computer produces no results when on mass storage. Micro SD cannot be accessed when plugged directly into computer. Disk Management shows "no media". totally worthless at this point. support did get in touch with me. We have determined the Micro SD card is corrupt. Still no way to retrieve crash data, but I will add a star for their quick response. Periodically check your SD card to insure it is still good would be my takeaway from this. Am hoping new card can hold up to the loop recordings and provide data when needed.

Works fine but the manual sucks big time. Learn by trying is the word here. Also, even though the specs say the camera will overwrite when the memory if full, it does not. I have to remove the chip about every 10 days or so and delete the videos on it. The mount also does not hold the camera securely. Vibration lets it slide out of the mount and fall. I corrected this with some tape on the sliding portion to tighten up the fit.

So my wife and I recently got stationed in Alabama and it quickly became aware that we were dealing with drivers that exceeded that horrible driving abilities that I've experienced. So I bought two of these puppies for my car and the wife's car. They automatically record when the car turns on and it shuts off when the car is turned off. Easy to install, easy to maintain, and I've had no issues with the heat that we have here.

but in my car this is permanently powered so I tried disconnecting the adaptor at the end of each journey but this did not work reliably so I switched to a hard wire kit running from the t fuse. I had recorded several files and was having difficulty with some sectors not recording. I formatted the card a couple of times and now everything is working as expected. Great pictures and it even picks up the sound of my indicators.
I generally remove the camera when I leave the car as the magnetic system makes this very easy.

especially to get a 3 min capture sequence (just push the triangle icon button and its done). Very useful for leaving myself voice messages when receiving hands free mobile calls where as before I would have to pull over appropriately and write the info down, as now just say what I want to then press the triangle icon button to save it. I do keep formatting the cards to ensure they are working correctly and do not get clogged up with the saved data and re-recording over used space. When reviewing the saved data the software is great it allows you to zoom, see your speed, your GPS route (very useful should you need to return to an unfamiliar place) and more. I have used the unit as a camera when my mobile was flat. Excellent item for your car with very good video and picture quality.
