About Amelia Ford
I began writing about six years ago after giving up my job as an A-level Psychology teacher to look after my three small children. I love being a mum, but I felt I wanted/needed something for myself, so I set about writing a couple of short stories and began a blog. I've always loved reading, but one evening, when I couldn't find anything that appealed, I decided to have a go at writing a book myself, the kind I like to read. Suddenly, I found myself transported into a whole new world and I couldn't stop! Tagan's Child was born. It was all I could do to not get up in the mornings and not switch on my laptop to carry on from where I had left off the night before; it felt as if the characters might carry on without me if I didn't. But my children need to eat, right? So once I'd given them their breakfast and packed them off to school, I sat down at my laptop and wrote. I liked teaching, but I had found something I LOVED! Since then I have written three more books in the series, Tagan's Change Book 2, Tagan's Chase Book 3 and Tagan's Chance, Book 4.
I live in the beautiful Kent countryside with my husband, three children, four horses, two dogs and two hens. I am so incredibly lucky to have such a supportive husband, friends and family, as well as being surrounded by diverse wildlife and rolling hills which provide such a wonderful backdrop against which to write. Like most people, I've had some tough times, but on the whole I'm a pretty positive person. My approach to life is summed up in the following quote: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called 'life'." Which I guess is saying, we're in it together so let's look after each other!
It's been nearly five years since I published my first book and what a journey it's been! There have been fans of my books who have been there from the beginning and who continue to show their support, along with new readers, on a daily basis. All I can say is that I cannot thank you enough, I honestly couldn't do this without you!

An enthralling tale of love, loss and courage set against an exotic backdrop of far flung places, vengeful enemies and hidden dangers.
A great well-written romantic suspense with heart…it pulled me right in.
A beautifully written book where the characters evolve…and you join them on their journey.
Immersing and captivating. A wonderfully engrossing read.
Amelia Ford has penned a poignant tale filled with mystery, fantasy and a seemingly hopeless romance…I completely engaged with these [characters] and their story.
I absolutely adore the characters and the intricacies of their relationships. This story has action, adventure, romance and lots of steamy moments!
Wonderful new author!
A modern-day love story with intertwining thriller and sci-fi - I struggled to put it down and then couldn’t wait to pick it back up.
My only criticism of this book is that it ended too soon, I would have happily continued to read ad infinitum!
This novel [evokes] almost every emotion, it was upsetting, exciting, frightening, gripping, sad but most of all passionate - I loved every minute!
This is not the type of book I would normally read, but once I started I couldn’t put it down…I can’t wait to read more from this brilliant new author.

The more time Annie spends with Jon, the more she realises she likes him. Until she discovers that the skeleton in his closet is far darker than she first thought. His secret jars with everything she has learned about him. After some serious soul-searching she comes to the conclusion that if anyone can understand that people make mistakes, it is her. So, she sets out on a path to try and help him, but little does she know that in her quest to help him deal with his issues, she is stirring up a hornet’s nest that threatens to destroy them both.
