a good book on the Progressive movement

I recently read a very good book from Judge Andrew Napalitano about Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson and wanted to learn more about the Progressive movement. I have just started this book and so far it looks like this will give me a fair and accurate description of this period in American history. As described in other reviews it is written as a college level book and can be a bit of a slow read, but it is exactly what I wanted. This is a good book no matter what your political slant is.

This book really opened my eyes to this era of American history. I knew some of the information but the detail in this book brought the issues to life. I wish there was more info on WHY some of the choices were made. For example, what was going on in the media pro and con that caused citizens to make the decisions they did. I would really like to see if the media at that time was as left-wing and biased as they are today. I suspect they were and that's the way their stories and editorials were slanted resulting in the non-constitutional selections that people made.
