Scroll bar set

I have several scroll bar sets and all my old ones have a strip of webbing stapled to the bars which you then either hand sew or machine sew your aide cloth to. These new ones had Velcro, I found that the Velcro I was to attach to the cloth were not sticking well enough to hold the aide tight enough. I went to Joann's and purchased some cotton belt webbing, I used my staple gun to attach this webbing to both scrolls and then sewed my cloth to it and it is working much better than the Velcro.

This frame has worked very well. I needed a large frame to hold a beaded picture I am working on. (Fully beaded it will weigh about 3 pounds!) The frame is holding the work relatively taut, which makes it easier to work on. I wish the rods were a bit thicker tho. These rods are a bit more flexible, so that when the tension is set very tight the centers of the rods tend to bow a little, making the center of the work tauter than the edges. It's very slight, but heavier rods would solve the problem.

Knobs strip easily making fabric tension difficult

I love the size but getting tension has been a chore. The knobs won't hold tight so I am constantly re-tightening. I wrapped plumbers tape hoping that would hold but no such luck :( One of the screws even backed out of the frame.
