This book is about as reductive as it gets. A totally amateurish attempt, that parrots old information and headlines dressed up as new insight. It reads like a temper tantrum. The DOT&E has job to do. That job is to find deficiencies in the weapon system. If a fighter is one the most lethal aircraft in the world, which the F35 most certainly is. You still will only read about the deficiencies. It is incumbent on the reader to put the annual DOT&E reports and the reported deficiencies in their proper context. Something this author has failed to do.
F35 massacres 4th generation aircraft like the Gripen at a rate of 24 to 1 at Red Flag.
The pilots who have flown the F35 don't want to go to war in anything else.
Did not see much of the pilot's perspective on the F35. There are hundreds of pilots who have flown both 4th gen and F35. They are after all the ones putting their lives on the line. Do You think they would agree within book?
Clearly the answer is NO. This book is drivel.
