So without hesitation, I ordered this beautifully designed and well-written book on the present White House garden, a brief history of gardening in America, and who benefits from the now lush garden on the White House grounds.
What an interesting project! What's not to love about a garden with fresh produce to eat and enjoy at home. I appreciated all the bright color pictures, the recipes, how cooks work in the White House kitchen, and the emphasis on nutritional foods.
Thank you, Mrs. Obama, and the team who made your project come alive. The book appeals to those of us who find pleasure in watching seeds grow, on farms, in small gardens, raised beds, containers in the city, and even inside the home!
Just enjoy this book, savor the information, and eat well. Better yet, plant something!
