Super annoyed 😒
My goodness I wanted this to be epic!! It could’ve been, it should’ve been, it probably was 🤔 but not for me.
I loved book 1 up until I realized that it didn’t end. there. Why didn’t it just end there 🤦🏾♀️; throw in an amazing epilogue to update us on their HEA and just move on?! 🤷🏽♀️ why ruin it? Book 2 ruined it for me 😫😫. It was good to learned how the love story between Embry & Ash began Butttttttt!!!
🚨 🚨 SPOILER ALERT🚨 🚨 SPOILER ALERT🚨 🚨SPOILER ALERT🚨 🚨 SPOILER ALERT🚨 🚨 🚨 DON’T READ ANY FUTHER!!! IF YOU DON’T WANT TO HEAR MY TEMPER TANTRUM 😂🤣😂😄😆AND RUIN THE BOOK TOO!
Deep sigh Greer is way to naive. And then there’s Abilene, I hate Abilene, that 🤬🤬! How are they all so stupid?? This is the President!!! With Secret Service Agents!!! They have Army’s, press secretary’s, fixers, lawyers all at their command & they allowed a spoiled, entitled brat to throw a jealous temper tantrum and have the 1st lady abducted, then she drugged, raped, and blackmailed the VP!!! WTH??? I’m super annoyed!! I STRUGGLED getting over the fact that he had sex with his SISTER!!! but now they have A BABY!!??? 1. A CHILD WITH HIS SISTER!!! 2. THE MOCK RAPE!! I can’t!! I can’t that was it for me. Calgon take me away!!!
Ok so to end this....Just like my rant 👆🏾👆🏾👆🏾this book was all over the place and guess what it’s not even over 😂🤣.

I’m not a speed reader, no, not really. But why then do I find myself being finished with both book one and two of Sierra Simone’s American Queen series after less than 24 hours? I wanted to savor those books so much, but instead, I inhaled them – lived and breathed them, neglecting sleep in the process. At some point, listening to the audio book was not even fast enough anymore and I found myself alternating between the reading the ebook and listening. Yup, total nutcase, that’s me. I’m seriously addicted. And now I’m on the verge of screaming, shouting, bursting into tears because the last book of this epic love story of America’s most powerful men and their queen is not released yet! On the other hand… how am I supposed to feel when it’s indeed over? Should I stall reading the last book like I did with the first two or should I dive right in once I can get my grabby hands on it? Seriously, I don’t even know…
I love how every of the characters – first Greer, now Embry and with the last book Ash – all get to tell their story from their own point of view. And I love them all to pieces – all three of them! I love how Ash is so domineering and stoic and intense and sometimes even dark, how Embry is much more sensitive and sacrificing himself so many times while still maintaining an all-encompassing alpha vibe and how Greer is so strong while being submissive and complements them just perfectly. Their relationship, as unconventional and wrong as it might be, comes utterly naturally to them, the way it seems just so effortless when they find each other. And, oh my god, those passion-filled, panty-melting sex scenes. Intense, demanding and rough, sometimes even sweet, but definitely sensual and totally volatile and alluring at all times. I won’t even start to count the passages I highlighted – because as much as I inhaled the book, I have a strong urge to go back and savor certain scenes the second time around.
Then there is the mythology aspect. The allusions to the legend of King Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere, wizardry and all, just add another brilliant layer of complexity to an already phenomenal read.
There’s so much happening, so much deceit, heartbreak and sadness, so many shocking revelations, so many secrets being exposed. I hurt for them all and felt their every emotion, like I was there and experiencing everything with them. The story is powerful, provocative, full of raw emotion and even uncomfortable to read at times. It definitely knocked me off balance not only one time, but, like the addict I am, I’m still craving MORE!

I was super excirted to start this after loving book one. It started a little slow and I was afraid it would feel like a recap of book one and the telling of things we already knew. I was wrong. It picked up nicely and ended with a bang.
Off to read book three.

It's hard to believe so many readers were enthralled by this piece of trash. Even if all you're looking for is smut, the endless sex scenes are at times provocative but more frequently just plain laughable. Far worse is the absurdity of the plot: the U.S President, First Lady and Vice President are a bi-sexual threesome but somehow the nation doesn't know; she is kidnapped by a notorious terrorist just days after their wedding but somehow the nation never knows; the VP swoops in to the terrorists' highly guarded compound to rescue her without having to kill a soul,....and the list goes on. And the characters are just plain pathetic, without any level of personal dignity and always wanting to be violated in even the most absurd times. Biggest hint should have been that the book is self-published. There's not a publisher in the business that wants it's name printed on the pages of this junk. I finished it because I promised book club members I would. Luckily, no one else liked it either and we barely spent 15 minutes discussing it.

Sometimes I am so glad that I can swear on Goodreads reviews because I want to swear (remind me to untick the Facebook link so my boss doesn't see me all sweary).
But this is the Zon and I can’t swear. Insert lots of explicit words. All of the swears!
Life is unfair and I am going to sulk and sulk and sulk forever. Even getting tickets for RARE 18 (London baby) won't stop me sulking. Even a trip to the great gin God in the cupboard won't stop me sulking. Even a snog from Adam Levine won't stop me sulking...hmmm that might work actually. Send Adam and send him now!
Sierra Simone you are little temptress of magicness. You lady, you deserve to be spanked, HARD! You have had me sweating and swooning. I haven't eaten all day. My kids haven't eaten all day with the exception of a bag of jelly beans and marshmallow mushrooms - that's two vegetables right?
I'm dead! Want to know what happens in this book? Buy it and guard your heart or it might beat itself right out of your chest.
DEAD!
P.S Facebook unticked.
Second read completed ready for my King. I want to be sick. I want to do all the swears. I want to kick a puppy. Livid. Fuming. Still dead. I'm convinced there is a plan. There has to be. Please Sierra, please don't do this to me. I'm begging. I promise to read all the Chaucer tales. I'll memorise them and recite them. I'll send you bluebells from Yorkshire every spring. Just please, please let there be a plan.

I'm trying to put onto words my feelings for this book. I was hooked after American Queen. The story between Ash, Embry and Greer is amazing. I was shocked at the ending and cannot wait until American king is out. Please one click this book, you will not be disappointed. X
