This is essential knowledge that the American public needs to understand. We all need to understand that all governments lie to their citizens. So does ours.

Excellent and true point views.

Drawing from his long career as a leading international journalist and traveler, Eric Margolis presents an interesting look at how the U.S. has impacted the Muslim world in “American Raj.” Margolis is a fine writer with a strong background in history, religion and culture. All of that is evident as he offers a sweeping look at American blunders in Asia, Africa and even Europe. Even when readers will disagree with Margolis, they will not find this book disagreeable. Margolis has a fine style which keeps the reader engaged and, even though this book’s latest edition came out during the 2008 presidential cycle, it remains relevant.
One major caveat. The Kindle version of this book is poorly edited with plenty of typos, misspellings and wrong dates. I suspect the publisher simply transferred a file into a Kindle version without editing. This is one of those books I would advise getting in hard copy instead of Kindle for that very reason which is why I have hard copies at 5 stars and the Kindle version at 4.

Eric is a very talented writer. Good informative reading, instead of the normal propaganda you get from newspapers and TV.
