His Best Album Yet!!!
After 5 albums and an instrumental,Brad decides to change direction a little bit with his latest offering American Saturday Night. And all I can say is,boy does it pay off!Brad Paisley is one of the most talented singers, songwriters, and guitar players in all of country music and he proves that over and over again with this pure gem. This album seems to be a walk down memory lane. Brad has many songs about his past including,'No' 'Welcome to The Future' 'Water' and the beautiful no.1 hit ballad 'Then',one of his best ballads to date. It's songs like these that show how Brad really wants to make a special connection with his audience by letting them inside his head.Other standouts is the sweet and witty Anything Like Me,which will having every parent relating to this, the stunning gospel style song that has a similar vain to Garth Brooks song Unanswered Prayers and the fantastic single Welcome To The Future, which Brad himself has said he is the most proud of.He still has some of his famous trademark witty/tongue in cheek songs such as The Pants(every woman will love this) and Catch All The Fish. The production on this album is second to none, which has Brad sounding better than ever. This album will stand the test of time as not only one of Brad's best cds but also as one of country musics must have albums that you need to have in your cd collection.I can't speak highly enough of this album. All I can tell you is that you need to buy this album so you can just sit back and enjoy some country music at its finest!

Brad paisley has consistently produced great albums, and this is one is no different.

I think this album could be called Brad's "growing up" album. From imagining his new son growing up in "Anything Like Me", to the thought of life with a new love in "I Hope That's Me" and the current radio single "Then", and even himself growing up during "No" and "Water". During an interview on GAC, Brad admitted that this album is more serious, more thoughtful than previous albums, and that does show through. Even the more lighthearted "American Saturday Night" is still a comment on the multiculturalism of America. But not to worry all you die hard Brad Paisley comedy fans, there's still some classic comedy, in the form of "Catch all the Fish" and "The Pants". The only thing really missing is a Kung Pao skit...

If you are a Brad Paisley fan, or even just a country fan, this album has a little bit for everyone. As I said, it is a bit more serious than say "Mud on the Tires", but still an excellent purchase, and it's one of those CD's that you're not hunting through to look for the one or two good songs. This CD is one you can pop into the CD player and listen through the entire thing.

I purchased all five of the CMA album nominees for the year (2008)and this one is my favorite by far. There's not one track that I wish was not there, even after listening several times. The album 'changes pace' often to help retain listener interest along with a song selection that ranges from poignant to delightfully silly. This album will cause me to buy "Mud On The Tires" that also came highly recommended a couple of years ago. The Taylor Swift album ("Fearless") won the award this year but I find it relatively predictable and boring compared to this one. Go Brad!!

It's overall a good album... but not as many clear hits here and maybe not as fun as most of his other albums.
I was most disappointed with the lack of a hymn on the album. That was something I thought was a nice touch to Brad's previous albums and something I thought he might continue his whole career. It was a cool concept and hopefully something he'll start up again with future albums. Maybe he'll put two hymns on his next album for the one he "forgot" on this album. Also a little Kung Pao Buckaroo fun (those old-timers are a blast) would have fit in well on an album titled "American Saturday Night". I understand that Brad wants to grow as an artist, but IMO if it ain't broke don't fix it and it seems Brad had the tools out and was doing a little tinkering on ASN.
Still, looking foward to seeing him live in West Palm in October.

What a great album! I buy every Brad Paisley album and I believe this one is the best of them all. Rarely, do you get an album like this one where every song is a pleasure to listen to. And all the songs sound like country music, unlike a lot of "country" albums that sound more like pop-rock. Usually, there's at least one or two songs on an album that are ho-hum or worse. This album contains no such songs. Every song keeps you involved and stimulated. If you like country music, this is an album for you!

I don't have much use for mainstream country. I'd rather travel the backroads. However, Brad Paisley is a little different. How many bonafide country stars are also guitar monsters? Fans have known that for years before "Play" came out. The Paisley sense of humor is dialed down a bit on this album. His wit is still evident but it shares the stage with equal parts warmth, compassion and sensitivity. In this day and age, there's no one else even close to the caliber of Brad Paisley. He's a group of one.

Excellent.

Fun.

Catchy.

Brad Paisley is a great country music artist. I had to actually laugh when I saw a couple of one star reviews.

This is fun to listen to. Brad's ballads are always good. This CD features a great blend of the fast and slow to fit many tastes. A strong 5 star effort from the Country Music Superstar.

By the way, this guy can play the guitar with the best of them.

This is one of my favorite albums by Brad Paisley. Brad is All-American. He represents everything that America should be...his songs are so uplifting because many of them are about unity, accepting differing opinions. American Saturday Night is no different. It's about celebrating what makes this country, and Country Music so great. This album represents every reason why he is my favorite artist of all time.
