[brief plot synopsis]
The Benzingers receive a free trip to a resort in the mountains. Soon after arriving in Wilson Creek the kids start to worry about their safety when the locals start acting weird around them. After witnessing several murders, Larry and Brent realize that the reason they are being targeted was because of their age and come to the conclusion that they have to try and act more "grown up" to survive and in the end remove all of the grown ups from Wilson Creek.

[good things]
I thought the movie was one of those "so cheesy, it's funny" movies. To say the least, it was very entertaining in that respect. really made the movie enjoyable. He was the typical class-clown type friend we all had as a kid. The movie really didn't deliver many scares, but good performances from the late George "Buck" Flower, Blackie Dammett, and Pons Maar. Another thing I did like was the whole reverse-Children Of The Corn Theme, when Kevin Kaye (Larry) dons the priest outfit, he almost has an uncanny resemblance to Isaac in Children Of The Corn.

[the bad]
The movie is really confusing, and I am not quite sure if that was intentional. The movie has a million plot holes, and again was it intentional? The movie had comedy, but it lacked blood and suspense. And more importantly, the movie was almost absent of blood and the deaths that were shown, weren't at all bad, but could have been done better.

[final thoughts]
The first time I watched this movie was when it first came out in 1988, and I really liked it. I thought it was a very fun low budget movie. Watching it more than 15 years later, I don't find as much fun in it. I still found it really cheesy, and this time around I found the movie even more confusing and more plot holes.

A friend of mine likes weird films. I bought this for them, but it was poorly made and really hokey. I laughed more than I screamed.
