Water flow mimics rainfall for a luxurious shower experience. View larger.
The large 10-inch diameter of this showerhead provides the feel of gentle rain. Its simple style fits well in any bathroom. The showerhead has a maximum flow rate of 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) per minute for better water efficiency.
Tarnish, Scratch, and Corrosion Resistant
This showerhead's finish is tarnish, scratch, and corrosion resistant thanks to the Physical Vapor Deposition process that makes the finish part of the showerhead, not an outside coating.
The spray face of the showerhead is smooth and easy to clean.
The American Standard 10-Inch Rain Easy Clean Showerhead is backed by a limited lifetime warranty on function and finish.

I have had multiple rain shower heads over the years (probably 6-7) and this in unquestionably the most comfortable, most thorough soaking of any I have ever owned or experienced. I could stay in it for an hour. However, it comes from the factory severely restricted on water flow. In 10 minutes you can turn this into something phenomenal. All you have to do is remover the plastic restricter inside the stem portion (I just broke it with a small screwdriver and then removed the pieces. Then you remove the stem portion and drill out the tiny (maybe 2mm) hole in the stem as large as possible (I did 5/16"). Finally enlarge the two water feed holes in the top of the main body (did each of these at 1/4"), reassemble and that's it. You will be rewarded with an absolutely fantastic rain shower.
To anyone who would criticize having to modify a shower head to make it right I would point out the incredible price point of this unit and the fact that all new shower heads are severely restricted on water flow and require modification to maximize water flow. Try it. You'll love it if you like a rain shower.
As others noted, you can improve this head if you are handy with a drill. First, disassemble the stem (it can be removed with a large wrench or channel lock). Once disassembled, you can drill out the central hole in the stem. Before drilling, I clamped mine in a vice for stability and safety drilling. This will also push out the flow restrictor from the back. I suggest you remove the small washer before drilling so as not to damage it. Don't forget to reinstall it later. You should then also drill out the two holes in the head itself. I used 3/16 for both operations but, as noted previously, you could use 5/16" for the stem and 1/4" for the two head holes. I may go back and drill them out larger. It will take you 15-20 minutes, tops. After these mods, you will maximize the flow.
Update: Drilled out the stem and head holes to 5/16" and ¼" respectively. Marked improvement in flow rate and pressure. Now it's perfect
Product update 4/9/2015 - Started out great. We have high water pressure, and the flow was evenly spread out, abundant, and great to be under. About 5-months into using it, water began to stream out of the seam between the top (the bottom of the "dome") and the bottom (the part that has all the emitters). Over the next 2-months the stream got worse and now 25% of the water comes out the seam. Unfortunately, I'm outside the return window for this product. I'll attempt a silicone caulking seal over the weekend.
5/5/2015 update - The leak around the perimeter was caused by the nozzles being partially clogged with minerals (it was hard to see from below). After gentle cleaning, with a fingernail on the rubber emitter, the shower head is returned to fully functional with no leaks from the perimeter. I think a periodic gentle brushing of the emitters with the water turned on will keep it working like new. I like it again.

after just a month of use it is spraying water everywhere but down. It is coming mostly from the seam where the domed part meets the nozzles.Published 10 months ago by Kathleen johnson
Nice, soothing shower. Don't expect the water to be blasting out of it: it just falls on you. Head needss to be level for best resultsPublished 14 months ago by Kev F
Absolutely the best shower head I have used. Feels like I am under a waterfall. No issues with quality or installation. This unit is huge.Published 16 months ago by Doug
This started out as a lower-cost solution to our new shower, but because of the persistent dripping (we don't use it all that much) when it's not it use, it's become a nuisance. Read morePublished 18 months ago by Jason Rosenberg
