If you would like to read a trite/boring book, look elsewhere. If you want something that will expand your horizons and be a terrific read, then pick up American Taboo. Ms. Jones' collection of short stories will arouse both the mind and body. At the same time, it takes the time to develop characters and write like one of America's top young writers in any category. I'm really happy I picked up the book!
What can I say about this. I picked this book up on a whim because I was intrigued by the title and cover. From the first page I was drawn in and couldn't put the book down. I think it only took me 2 days to read through the whole book. After reading I have been craving more from this author and I will definitely read anything that she writes. Each story within this book is detailed perfectly and takes the characters to new depths of an erotic world that i haven't seen before. Her imagination runs deep took my mind into places I didn't know existed. Thank you Madison, I can't wait to read what's next!
The interesting theme about the stories come together from actual events that have shaped these themes. Many women have these fantasies but are too shy to actually pursue them. These are FAR from boring, unravel the deeply eroticism world of Hollywood, and break through previous boundaries which have limited fetish authors for decades.

And in that wanton spiral she lets her most indelicate urges get the better of good manners. Page after page she shatters socio-norms, even by the standards of graphic porn.
"I want to confess that I was raped and tell you how good it felt," one story in American Taboo begins. It is sure to elicit theatrical gasps from victorians more disturbed by how much it warms their crotches than by the idea itself and from supposed feminists who think that that female empowerment amounts to reconsigning women to a more recently written but no less rigid role. And when Ms. Ava Jones writes about black male whores chained around the neck like the all American slave you get the sense that this southern demirep is just as "true blooded" as her character Charlotte in Spanking Klan. Spankings in Ms.Read more ›
However, I really, really wish I'd known about the rampant racism that pervades every fantasy before I purchased this. It's insulting on every level to any person of color or immigrant to this country. Hell, it's insulting to women. Also, the subtitle of this book should simply be, "C'mon, you know every woman secretly enjoys being raped."

What in the world did I buy?! This book is not sexy, it's horrible. I know fantasy allows for taboos to be explored, but there is such a thing as too much! Read morePublished on January 24, 2014 by NYker
