Fantastic Performance! I definitely recommend this lead light. Its not one of those 15 minute on and off cycle lights. It last all night long. I have used this for my weekend parties and I and friends have been impressed with it. It was actually more then I expected. Much larger and puts out allot of light. Brilliant colors fill the entire room. Works Fantastic to Music! Not much need for any other lights. This one does the trick.

When this light is working, it looks great and changes colors and speeds depending on the beat of the music. The colors look great, and in an otherwise dark room, it adds a cool effect that makes music more fun to listen to.

The downside of all this, is that the music must be absolutely bumping for it to work at all. It comes with a sensitivity knob, but unless you have that maxed out, good luck getting it to even turn on. In order for me to get it to work right, it either has to be sitting on the floor about 2 inches in front of my woofer, or my speakers have to be turned up so loud that it shakes my house. You'd think that with the sensitivity turned 100% up it would at least pick up something at normal listening volumes.

This light fills a room quite well....the higher it is mounted the better. It lights up the dance floor perfectly. With no music the light shuts completely off which can be both good and bad, depending on your preferences. I also love the Tri Led feature which can produce more colors than just red, green, and blue. I'd recommend this light to anyone.

Knowing I was going to help throw a dance party for my friend's 16th birthday, I HAD to get the best (and most affordable) light out there. I spent who knows how many hours scrolling through Amazon trying to find the "perfect" light. Some lights were claimed to only work with another light, but I only had enough money to buy one. It had to be so spectacular that it would carry a dance party by itself. And then this came along.

The Vertigo TRI LED is definitely one of those WOW lights. I wanted one of those lights that make random movements, not the same pattern again and again (too predictable and boring). I looked up this light on Youtube and I was so impressed I bought it. What took my (and everyone else's at the party) breath away was the "randomness" of the lights. It can stobe, swirl in random formations, and change 7 different colors.

Some of the reviews made me worried claiming that the sound activation was very un-sensitive. Thinking better safe than sorry, I put the light right next to the speakers, and sure enough the light picked up the bass. I even tested the mic's sensitivity and put the light 10 feet away from the speakers, and it still registered (the volume wasn't blaring loud)! It's hard to explain how loud the speakers were, but imagine putting your computer speakers to 3/4 of its full loudness. That is definitely loud enough for the light to register.

In a nutshell, I am very satisfied with my purchase. Unfortunately, this is about as cheap as good quality lights get...besides that Chauvet moonflower light. I strongly recommend this light to anyone who wants to have the effect of 3 lights without paying an arm and leg.

I'm really not getting all of the glowing reviews for this light. It's decent, but I expected more for the money considering you can get a very good DMX controlled light for not much more money. My biggest problem with this unit is the music has to be blaring loud for it to work properly. I had it placed near the subwoofer and with Black Eyed Peas playing at very loud levels, the light turned off several times during the song "Time of my Life." Perhaps the unit I received was malfunctioning, I don't know. But even the light output was not as good as I expected given all of the glowing reviews. My advice is to skip this unit.

I recently purchased the ADJ Vertigo Tri LED. Like some have posted, the built in mic is not very responsive to music, even at loud levels. I could manually start the light by lightly tapping on the built in mic. Upon close examination, I noticed that the mic was loose inside the mounting hole. I wrote the company in which I bought the unit from and got permission to open it up and see if I could identify and resolve the problem. Here is what I found and what I did. The built in mic is held in place via a rubber grommet. The grommet was deformed and had a gouge in it as if it had been poked with a screwdriver or other tool. The grommet was also loose in the mounting hole which was allowing the entire mic assembly to freely move around. I pushed outward on the entire assembly and this exposed a lip on the grommet on the outward part. I applied a five minute epoxy to the underside of the lip via a toothpick and pushed the assembly toward the inside so the grommet lip would be against the housing and held it there while the epoxy cured. This resulted in a mic assembly that no longer moves and also increased the responsiveness from the signal of the mic to where the Vertigo now starts on its own. I hope this info can help those that are having a problem with the built in mic.

At less than $100, I couldn't ask for any more in a light, with one exception: The microphone for the sound activation isn't very sensitive, so for it to pick up a smaller speaker (like a pc speaker) you literally have to place the light right beside the speakers output to get it to register, and the light doesn't have an "always on" mode, it's only sound activated. The instructions partly note this by explaining that the light "will pick up and respond to low, bass noises more regularly than it will high-pitched ones", so I assume this is a design choice and not a flaw.

Having said that, however, it is a very attractive light that layers well with other special effect lights and lasers, and for the price I haven't seen anything better.

Keep in mind that this unit does require some simple maintenance every month or so (mostly removing dirt and fog machine build up and so on) to keep it operating at its full potential. Also it is not completely silent; you can hear the gears spinning as it operates, but since it's made for loud music anyway, you probably won't notice it too much.
