Nice true color and coverage, it's like working with a regular marker. Both pens have sharp points that are good for small details, but I used a razor to create a blunt tip on one pen for thicker lines. I love this product.

I like these pens, just wish they dried on candy melts!

These are great. I used these for the first time and it was just like using a marker. Loved it!

Did not write on white chocolate. I bought them for this purpose only and didn't work. I have not tried any other mediums.

Used this to decorate M&Ms as ladybugs for some cupcakes I made. It doesn't go on very solid...it seems to at first but then the ink kind of pulls away, leaving behind an uneven line. The main issue was what happened after I put them on the cupcakes. I decorated the M&Ms in advance and left them on a plate to dry. Once they were dry, I covered the plate with plastic wrap and kept them there until I made the cupcakes a few days later. The ink kept fine on the plastic-covered plate, but the day after I put them on the cupcakes, the ink bled really bad. You could still tell they were ladybugs but they weren't nearly as nice as when I had first put them on the cupcakes. Use this as close as possible to the time you are going to serve the food.

I recently ordered and received my Americolor Gourmet Food Writer and love them! They are so much easier than trying to use frosting or candy melts to accomplish the same task. I wish I would have ordered these a long, long time ago.
