I knew I would love this product before I even received it because I have used a different brands version of this tool and I already love it, but I also know I like Ames brand products. If you have to do a lot of weeding, this is a very good tool to use as it weeds frontwards and backwards quite nicely. It's a very sturdy tool and with the stirrup shape it really helps you to be able to get closer to desired plants without taking them out.

I took a look at a YouTube review for this item, and was impressed to see it in action. Very happy with this! I wish I'd gotten one years ago. It's really good for swiftly scraping out weeds, which I can then feed to my chickens. I also use it as a cultivating tool, so it's an all-in-one to prep a bed for planting vegetables or annuals, and then does a good job of cleaning up weeds between rows during the growing season. A great product!

I haven't had any problems with it so far. The product does what it's designed to do: cut out weeds beneath the surface. It works on forward and backward strokes; I prefer a forward stroke. Depending upon the soil and the weed and the angle, it may require some effort, but not unreasonably so.

Hula hoes are great for staying on top of emerging weeds, especially if your soil is kind of soft. They don't work very well with hard soil. This is a good tool. I will need to glue the grip as it keeps wanting to pull off as I work but, otherwise very happy with this.

Disappointed with this product is putting it mildly. The rake is dull, chipped and the coating was flaking off on all portions of the metal. The wooden handle was very sturdy but the head itself is a mess!. It is also becoming a nightmare in returning the item. My recommendation is to steer clear of this product.
