There are some very interesting recipes. I like that I wouldn't need to make my own pie crusts but a recipe for pie crust would have been a plus. This is a great country home type book.
Baklava, funnel cake and most cookies and breads don't need a description, problem is there were more than a few things I have never heard of and wish there was an explanation as to what they were. I was expecting more of a beginning or story about at least some of the recipes.
It would have been fine that there was no descriptions if there were photos.
That would have been fine if there was at lest a two sentence explanation of the uncommon recipes.
I would recommend this. It is a good book but one of the three; photos, description or explanations would have made this a great cook book.
The Apea cinnamon cake is missing the amount of flour needed to make this. If possible, I would like to have that ingredient to make this cake.
