Nathan's rather grumpy father is slain. He is revealed to have had some dubious romantic and business history.
It is up to Nathan and Sarah to try to hold the family, farm and business together . Extended family and friends prove both a help and a hinderance.
Together, Nathan and Sarah discover the importance of supporting each other, communicating, and being unafraid to ask for help when they need it.
I received an advance copy of the book.
I was surprised, but pleased, by the complex murder mystery, and the many tests of faith and action for this young pair of friends on the verge of becoming adults and a couple.
A challenging mystery and a sweet romance.
An Amish man, Alvan Jotter is killed. A diary and a box belonging to his first wife is found by the nanny, Sarah a young Amish woman. Alvan's oldest son, Nathan and Sarah try to fathom what it all means.
There a lot of false trails, Nathan feeling betrayed, his stepmother a suspect, his younger sister and brother, Joanna and Tomin, confused and lost and romance. Through it all Sarah tries to be strong for the family she loves as her own.
It is a well written story with good characters and a mystery that is not easy to solve. If you like to try to unravel a twisting plot this book is for you.
I have read an advanced copy and have given my honest opinion without compensation.
What a delightful faith filled romance suspense story !! I tried to put it down a couple of times, but I would be right back in the story in short order. There is more to learn in this story, beyond shedding light on the suspense and resolving the related questions. I was gifted a copy of this story, and, so glad for the opportunity of this read. I am pretty sure you will enjoy this read, too. I will miss spending time with this family.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, but was not required to review it. This review is one hundred percent my opinion.
