Honeydogs rediscovered

I had given up on these guys after "Seen A Ghost" and "Here's Luck". Those records had one or two good cuts on them, but were a huge disappointment to me. I loved their early stuff and found them to be an incredible live act. I even decided to skip "10,000 Years" when it came out. So, what about "Amygdala?" In a word, fantastic. Great song writing, great melodies, great instrumentation, great singing, great...great...great. Get this CD now and, if you gave up on them like I did, let 'em back in baby!

No suprises, which is good

Terrific songwriting, as usual. Confused by B.B. Grunt review. Dude, go back and listen to "Here's Luck" and "10,000..." - if you like the new one, there's no reason you wouldn't like those records, too. Give 'em another chance. They're very much in the same ballpark as this one. As usual, these guys come through with the melodies, and they still have that nice Beatles thing running through their veins.

Their previous effort 10,000 years was the 2004 CD of the year in my opinion. The Honeydogs craft another amazing CD and I hope they continue to do so for a long time.

i LOVED "10,000 Years" and didnt know how the 'Dogs could get much better. they've done just as well with Amygdala. especially "Too Close to the Sun", "Truth Serum", "The Firing Squad Reloads", and "Elan Vital".

also, see these guys live if you're near the Twin Cities. i've seen them 6-7 times, they're great!

introduced to this band when they opened for aimee mann in chicago a few years back. loved '10,000 years' - this one is great as well. Buy it now!
