Top customer reviews
This is PERFECT for microwaving frozen vegetables, and nice enough to serve them from. The glass is heavy, it holds the heat for a really long. time. One of the ways I have been using is (this will only work for a small family...there are two of us...is to cook the vegetables in the dish, cover on. When I put it on the table, I turn the lid upside down as it acts like a deep platter, put the sides to serve on the inverted top. It is also good for meat, potatoes, anything else you want to keep hot. The steaming vegetables act like a heat tray and keep the food all hot while we are eating.
It is now last week in February and we have used this very versatile Casserole dish almost every day since December.
It also works in oven, btw. I find it kind of small for a full out casserole, but for the two of us it is perfect for mac and cheese or leftover heat up.
bottom line: I find it way worth the money
This is made of glass so the lid is not going to fit on tightly, but is does fit, keeps the heat in while cooking and does not allow anything to splatter out.
The lid can be placed on in either direction.
I'm very pleased with it.
