Lacey and her colleague, Brian, broke away from their last jobs to set out on a venture of their own made possible by the generous gift Lacey received from Raven Falls. Now that they are aware of the paranormal, the duo believes there are a lot more paranormal mysteries in the world.
They are setting up for the first publication of their magazine, The Otherworld Chronicles. The new office definitely needs some TLC, but it is a great space. The next obstacle is to find a case just waiting for a bit of investigative reporting. They need something sensational to start off their maiden effort.
Finding something that isn’t a hoax is harder than Lacey thought it would be. However she thinks the lead she comes across about disappearances and strange happenings in Anchor Isle, Maine looks promising. So she books a flight and leaves Brian behind to get the office ready.
Are there really enough cases around to support Lacey’s dream publication? Are the events in Anchor Isle really a mystery or just a run of bad luck and accidents?

Some things were kind of predictable but I couldn’t tell how they were going to fit together and that kept me reading to find out. I definitely found a favorite character and can’t wait for more.
