Interesting collection but not the best of what is available to put into a book. I'm sure the ancient Irish had more poetry that was more along the lines of what we are familiar with today. It's not terrible, just more prose than poetry.

As a student, I was hoping to find something interesting to read in my free time. I love poetry, and since this was free it seemed great. But it wasn't all that engaging, to be honest. It's not really a collection I'd recommended.

The poetry was very interesting, but it's wasn't all that great. In other words, I felt like I was reading short stories about famous people, mythical heros, events, etc. Meaning that I just skim the whole book because it was really boring.

This isn't your "typical" book of poetry...it is more of a lyrical type of writing..not the average rhyming poem. All I can say is it wasn't for me!

Wasn't what I was hoping for; interesting in a sort of white bread, old fashioned way, but not inspiring to this modern poet.

I haven't read much of this as it to me is a "pick up" book, but it is very interesting.
