About the Author
Drunvalo Melchizedek's life experience reads like an encyclopedia of breakthroughs in human endeavor. He studied physics and art at the University of California at Berkeley, but he personally feels that his most important education came after college. In the last 25 years he has studied with over 70 teachers from all belief systems and religious understandings, providing him with a wide breadth of knowledge, compassion and acceptance.
Not only is Drunvalo's mind exceptional, but his heart, his warm personality, his love for all life everywhere, is immediately understood and felt by anyone who meets him. For some time now he has been bringing his vast vision to the world through the Flower of Life program and the Mer-Ka-Ba meditation. This teaching encompasses every area of human understanding, explores the development of mankind from ancient civilizations to the present time and offers clarity regarding the world's state of consciousness and what is needed for a smooth and easy transition into the 21st century.

For a firmly grounded Earthling, much of the book required quite a lot of suspension of disbelief for me. However, while reading the book, I was really feeling a lot more connected to everything. Things started to make sense. Line by line, an understanding began to unfold. Some things seemed like absolute crap, but Drunvalo usually couches outrageous stuff with phrases like "This may not be true. It can be true if you believe it to be." Which gives me plenty of latitude to think about it myself and what it means to me.
I've gone through a weird phase of acceptance and denial. I've gone on the internet and looked up everyone's conspiracy theories. I read both of Drunvalo's books and haven't found them to be anything other than well-meaning, informative and helpful in this new quest of mine. Truly, these books have done a great service to me, because they have motivated me to learn more about spirituality and my purpose here. The books have inspired me to learn to take time for myself, to meditate, to love, and to see the good in others.
When you open this book, the author allows you to know from page one what you are in store for. He never forces any ideas, or beliefs. This is honestly a book that one must read with an open mind, and open faith. After reading this book, I feel very enlightened. There are things in the book that seem far fetched, but again, it's all about what you are willing to believe.
The book was very simple for the average person to follow along with. There are a few words that come along and make you do a double-take, but Drunvalo usually makes sure you are constantly up to pace.
I have never been a mathmatical person. First flipping through the pages, I was a little intimidated. Yet, as I began to read, everything gracefully unfolded.
There is always more out there than we allow to realize.... this book definitely allows you to find the place within yourself where you can explore it all.
Of all the books I've read in the last few years... this is one that I will take off the shelf again, and again.
Last note, expect to get both Volumes. You need Volume 2 in order to fully learn what he is teaching.
