It's still 100% copper just with a tin coating..tinned wired is considered to be better than traditional non-tinned copper wire.
The tinning provides additional corrosion resistance and conductivity.
I buy this wire and use it in a variety of things... not just marine. I consider it top of the line.
My demagnetizer works fine and was easy to fabricate using this wire because of the flexibility of the wire and insulation. Recommended.
