These are contacts only,no housing. PowerPole contacts (formerly known as Sermos connectors) from Anderson Power Products have been very popular with electric airplanes and sailplanes. They were the first low-resistance contacts - made of silver-plated copper. The secret of their success is the stainless steel leaf spring built into the plastic housing. This spring applies 25 lb of pressure onto the contacts, ensuring good, vibration-proof contact. Contact resistance has been measured at 600 micro-ohms. PowerPole contacts are very easy to use , compact, will handle moderate current, and are insulated but not polarized unless you slide them together in pairs. These are 45 Amp contacts, suitable for wiring up to 10 ga. This item includes: 30 45 AMP contacts - Anderson Powerpole part# 261G2

These contacts appear to crimp well onto #10 wire. I have not had a problem with any of them jamming/kinking in the ratcheting crimp tool, so they must be the real deal. The price was great and I appreciate the flexibility being able to order the contacts separately from the housings to go along with all the extra housings from botched earlier projects. I'll certainly be ordering from this vendor again next time I need Anderson PowerPoles (and/or contacts).

I use these with the 30 amp housings when I need to use #12 and #10 wire to minimize voltage drops for longer wiring runs. They mate up perfectly with the 30 amp contacts when connecting to something that only requires #14 and up wire.
