I should have known from the product description that spells Andis as ANDES, but alas. This is made in China under the AODA brand (the Andis 7.5" Steel Comb #65730 is made in Taiwan).
The teeth are crooked and not rounded at the bottom, unlike Andis. Will try this on my very curly Schnoodle but probably going to return for the real deal.
Andis Pet 7-1/2-Inch Steel Comb (65730)
I have a german shepherd with average length fur, and this comb removes all of the shedding to the point that she does not need to be combed for several days afterward. In other words, it's not a daily chore, if that's what you're looking for.
Handling this comb as-is becomes painful after long sessions because of its small sized handle. My hand cramped with long use. I customized a 2" dowel & fit it around the metal rod of the comb to enlarge the handle diameter. Handle size is my only complaint with this item.
What I found is that I like this Andis comb better than the more expensive one. Yes, it may be 2ish inches smaller, and have a squared (rather than round) back, but who cares. My moyen-sized poodle is not 10 inches wide and 7.5 inches gives my hand plenty of room to grab the comb and use it. And the teeth flow smoothly through his coat.
Roger Pippin, my 2 yo pup, is 15 inches tall and about 28 pounds, and his coat is very curly and prone to matting. The latter is really a problem since he's constantly running through the woods with the kids and his adopted sister, Charlene the JRT mix, and between the burs, thorns, and water features, he can get to be a mess.
Sometimes neither comb is good enough, and scissors are needed, but in every case, the Andis comb seems to work just as well as the very expensive comb. And as a mom, I can't recommend that you spend tons of money, without first trying the less expensive alternative on your dog's coat.

I thought it was a bit long at first but it actually makes it easier to hold
