I am a groomer for dogs and my dog is a Maremma. She has a very thick coat on top and a lot of undercoat of fine hairs underneath. This is the first wire brush I have ever bought that does exactly what it says. I get more hair from one stroke then I have ever gotten with other brushes after a full groom. It is very functional and it's gotten all the dead fur off of my girl. I absolutely love Andis products! They are the best that you can buy on the market! This specific brush does not hurt her or rake against her skin when I brush her every day. You will not be disappointed with your purchase of this wire brush!

Great rubberized grip & easy on dog's skin

This brush is great with the tiny smooth balls at the end of the bristle. I use this on my 60 lb goldendoodle's fur to detangle it a couple times a week. I had a slicker brush which was great for lifting up the fur for a fluffy look, but it seemed really scratchy on her skin. She doesn't like scratchiness of the slicker brush and tries to scoot away when I used it. When I use the Andis brush, she just lays there and enjoys her brushing.

The handle on the Andis brush is easy to grip and hold. It also has a silver sparkle mixed in the black plastic body of the brush that you can't see online at amazon.

Both the firm and soft slicker brushes are terrific. My shop sees hundreds of dogs per week and these brushes are our go to! The bristles hold up extremely well and as long as you use the proper brush for the dog’s coat you won’t have any issues. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the glue that holds the brushes together seems to give out pretty easily. Typically out of the package the brush hoods together (in very heavy use) about 2-4weeks. However once it starts to separate I use gorilla glue to fasten it back together and the brush will last the better part of a year before I need to replace it. For a $10-15 brush it’s an excellent buy!

I love this brush. I have a coated German Shepherd. We live in a dry climate so when I brush her long coat, the hair would stick to any piece of clothing I was wearing. It was like my clothes were hair magnets. I assume it's static electricity. I couldn't hardly get it all the hair off my clothes. This brush may not pull quite as much hair as an undercoat rake but it holds onto the hair so I just need to pull it off the brush (instead of my clothes). I use a smaller round slicker for more delicate areas like her head, face, ears, armpits, legs and chest. I use this square slicker for her back, butt, sides and tail. It's much cleaner, easier and more pleasant to brush her every day with this brush combination than an undercoat rake that didn't hold onto the hair. She looks beautiful, her coat is luscious and my house and clothing is much more dog hair free. I'm thrilled.

Great for medium/long hair cats

I love this for my medium hair cat! He has a fluffy undercoat, and is prone to mats under his legs (in his armpit area) as well as on his belly and this works really well to loosen them up and get them out. These are really sensitive areas and I feel as though this causes him the least amount of discomfort from other methods and brushes I've tried. It also does a really great job of removing loose fur from his undercoat to prevent mats in the first place, and reduce shedding. I use the wider bristled end to loosen mats and the narrow bristled end for regular combing.

I like the deshedding brush it works great and easy to use. It took out so much hair off my dog. the more I kept brushing him the more
it kept coming out. I took a few pictures of all his hair, and I was worried I took too much off him.
The Andis is a good product and I would recommend it. I also have the furminator it is just as comparable to it in my opinion.
I took a lot of hair off my dog, he has a double coat and I like the deshedding brush its fits in my hand comfortable.
The only I did notice is there a way it can be sharpen the blades. the pictures I took was the first time using it so the blades are super new
I'm sure it will start to get dull after time using it. The price was fair not to cheap or expensive.

Always had small dogs and have always used normal sized clippers. My Toy poodle hates having his nails clipped, it frightens him and having black nails he's had his quicks clipped (by me and the Vets) more often than he or I would like. I recently bought an Andis rechargeable file, which is great, but my dog has very long nails and filing them, though easy, can take some time. I looked for a new set of clippers and saw this smaller variety and I am so pleased with them. Set to just remove the tips they don't catch the quick, which leaves me a shorter nail for filing. I just wish I'd had these for my other dogs. No more pain and guilt. Fully recommend these clippers.

This arrived very fast... I wasn’t sure about if I should buy this ! As I have really good grooming comb and Chris Christensen T pin brush. Comb is recommended to get dead undercoat out ! For a Shih Tzu.. which I own and groom all the time. And wasn’t going to get this deshedding tool But I ordered it ! and was amazed at the amount of dead hair that came out...need to take care... As don’t want to over do it, with him being a Shih Tzu. But Great addition to have in grooming bag...for to use every so often. But if you own a Breed of dog that cast,s !!! I would be buying this ASAP this Andis Deshedding Tool is Fantastic ! I don’t think you would regret it, you would be saying ! Why didn’t I buy this sooner !

I have purchased a few grooming and de-shedding tools but this is by far the best. She is a flat coated retriever and her fur grows long. She also loves the water so needs to be dried and washed regularly (I dont use shampoo much)
It is easy to use and takes out most of the "dead" fur from her coat. I take her to the groomers every three months but this is great for the in between grooms once or twice a month to keep her coat in great condition.

I am an owner of a gorgeous Spaniel who loves the water. Consequently he gets very wet (in good conditions) and then, when dry, becomes very fluffy. I love him fluffy, so do not take him to the Groomers to be sheared. This little comb has made him feel better, kept moulting down to a minimum and he is easier to brush. Good handle. Please use sparingly and gently - you will be amazed how much fur it removes. Do not use on wet fur. Was recommended by someone who uses it on his German Shepard between groomer visits. Superb.
