This concert is currently paying ON PBS all over the USA and is a wonderful event. It was recorded in Bocelli's Home town in Tuscany and is in a beautiful outdoor setting. The songs are all the songs from his new Hits collection plus more. Andrea Bocelli, is the world's most popular tenor (and Best selling) and pop sensation as well, This set is all pop (crossover), Though some of it has a classical feel to it.

The Songs include a nice selection of some of Bocelli's best work Bocelli has a very beautiful voice, that expresses much emotion. His tone and diction are excellent and his Volume is much better then the critics claim, he voice is always moving, his singing touches one's heart and goes right into ones soul. The tracks include Songo;; Canto Della Sera duet with Sarah Brightman; a Medley, (Besame mucho \ Somos novios - It's impossible \ Can't Help Falling In Love); Time to Say Goodbye-Con Te Partino; (with Sarah Brightman), Vivo Per Lei- duet with Heather Headley; Melodrama; The Prayer- duet with Heather Headley; and Because We Believe; a new English/Italian version of Vivere called Dear To Live with Laura Pausani a popular Italian singer; A wonderful song called La Voce Del Silenzio duet with Elisa; a beautiful song called A TE featuring Kenny G on saxophone; A very cool classical sounding song with Lang Lang, on Piano, called IO CI SARO; and another new song, very contemporary, called BELLISSIME STELLE which may be my favorite song of the new songs. Also doen with Chris Botti is Italia a new song written by David Foster and on Botti's new album with Andrea questing on vocals, and it is a beautiful song.

I've watched this PBS special countless times and I have already pre-ordered the DVD.

This is the best live Bocelli performance I have seen. I won't duplicate the other reviewers breakdown of songs and musical stars, but the mid show duet with Sarah Brightman on "Canto de la Terra" blew away their closing duet of "time to say goodbye". This new duet, (song originally released on Sueno) has raised the bar for Bocelli/Brightman collaboration. There is a chemistry there that has to be watched to appreciate.

Heather Headley turned in two powerful vocal performances that are a second favorite highlight of the concert. Headley's vocals seem to blend extremely well with Bocelli. R&B meets Classical and the result was a stirring duet that will be hard to duplicate with anyone else.

Laura Pausini's performance was also a warm moment in the show. As Bocelli went to his knee to sing to her, she lost her breath in the moment of being sung to by the great Bocelli.

Turn down the lights, light a few candles, put in this DVD and get lost in the romance of Bocelli's vocals and the surreal atmosphere of Tuscany in the summer.

It is musically as good as it can get, but the comments - though subtitled - are somehow excessive and unnecessary. There are not as many of them as in some André Rieu shows, but still a few we could dispense with that tend to drag the concert into the cheaper side. Otherwise, the concert is excellent (*****) including the sound and picture quality, the choice (order) of songs, and the performance positively affecting the concert's dynamics and emotional side progressing from lyric through romantic to more dramatic, and culminating at the end.

Bocelli's voice is slightly darker, more mature then in 'A Night in Tuscany' made 10 years earlier, and the chosen songs in both concerts are perfectly rendered except the initial seven from 1997, which sound somewhat flat, weak, muffled, not clear, as if from stressed and not warmed up vocal cords, but maybe due to recording errors. This concert is more dynamic than the equally exquisite 'My Christmas' where fortunately Foster's talk is shorter, more professional, better scripted, better integrated with, and supporting that show of 2009 instead of himself.

As my title says, I'm not an over-the-top "everything he does is wonderful" (in fact, my spouse and I had floor seats at his Madison Square Garden conert a few years ago and thought it was terrible) fan of Andrea, butI have to say this Blu-ray DVD is beyond a homerun from both his performances and the quality of the Blu-ray itself.

First, the concert.

His singing and his performances have never been better, and the assembled stars (Kenny G, Elisa, Laura Pausini and of course Sarah Brightman, to name just a few) make this an incredible show. Each is outstanding in its own performance, and being introduced, as an American, to the European sensation of Laura Pausini is worth the cost of the Blu-ray by itelf (check out her dress !)

Now the Blu-ray

The production values, both the PQ and AQ are virtually reference quality. If you want to show your friends what a blu-ray does both picture-wise and audio wise, this could be one of your best choices to demonstrate the top quality. The dolby 5.1 is at it should be, not overdone, but placing you squarely in the first few rows of the audience. The picture for a live performance is unequalled, with the blackest of blacks contrasting with the performer costumes and dress. Quite an accomplishment when you see Andrea and Sarah in the brightest of whites yet no evidence of washout on darker colors or parts of the stage.

Finally, at the finale and curtain call, you'll be treated to a pleasant and surprising video and audio treat.

Money VERY well spent.
