About the Author
Dr. Steiner works as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist in Texas. Before starting medical school, he worked as a full-time paramedic (EMT-P) after completing college and held the Emergency Medical Technician–Tactical (EMT-T) certification for medical support of Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams.
During his residency training in anesthesiology, he edited The Acute Pain Manual, which was a survival guide for residents while on the acute pain service and developed Vapor Camp, a one month introduction for anesthesiology interns to prepare them for the operating room. Dr. Steiner was chief resident his senior year.
For the last eight years, he has been a member of Outcomes Research Consortium, which is an international research group based out of the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Steiner’s research interests include pediatric airway management, respiratory monitoring, and residents’ medical school debt management.
Dr. Steiner is author of the book The Physician’s Guide to Personal Finance: The review book for the class you never had in medical school.
Dr. Steiner is currently double boarded in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology and continues to teach anesthesiologists assistant students, residents, fellows, and airway rotators in the art and science of pediatric anesthesiology.
