The intrepid Angel Murphy is back – this time on home turf!
Alone in his cottage near a remote Irish village, Fitz, lead singer of the popular band, Raving, hears the cries of the paparazzi outside and likens them in his own mind to wolves in a feeding frenzy.
Next morning Fitz is found unconscious, seeming unlikely to survive, and is rushed to hospital. Has he been driven to OD? Or is someone else behind this?
His friends call in Angeline Murphy, ‘Angel to her friends, devil to her enemies,’ to find out the truth. But it takes all Angel’s courage and skills to survive the many dangers she faces and to discover the real villain and deal with him.
Angel's friend, Mary Branagh, from Belfast Girls, re-appears in this novel and develops an interest in one particular member of Raving!

As well as telling a good story Gerry makes the troubled city of Belfast vibrant and appealing.
Highly recommended. Bring on the next instalment, please.
As the title suggests Angel is now chasing the bad guys in Belfast. Another book worth reading even if you haven't read the first in this series it is still good as a stand alone, although I bet you will want to read the first.
I am pretty sure that this book was written for a 15-17 year old girl, as it often seemed to have been also written by one. The mystery if you want to call it that is as complicated as a Hardy Boys mystery, and was not terribly complicated to figure out.
I will not be reading any of the other books in this series.
Frankie "Fitz" Fitzgerald is a rock star with a history of drug abuse but something doesn't ring true about his apparent overdose.
Fitz's girlfriend, Serena (Seri) and her friends enlist the help of Angel Murphy to clear Fitz's name. Along the way they encounter murder, rivalry, and mystery. The motive lies in Ireland's troubled past and one man torn between love for his girlfriend and his paramilitary activity.
Angel's skills and resilience are tested to the limit but she comes out on top. It might take you time to get your breath back after reading this one but it's damn well worth it.
Gerry McCullough's knowledge of Belfast brings the city and its people, past and present, to life with evocative description and scintillating dialogue. A real treat for mystery fiction lovers, especially if you like bold heroines. This book has the lot and I can't recommend it enough.

The descriptions were superb, I really felt that I was transported to Belfast. I have only been there once, but now I feel I know the place !
The plot was mesmerising! I don't want to write a spoiler...just to say, all is not what it seems!
This is a great book to read with a cup of tea and a comfy chair, to settle in to enjoy. Problem is, you won't want to go to bed/sleep because you will be so gripped by the story. I love the characters ,,,and am now going to buy the two previous books in order to get to know them better. I thnk this s a series I am going to be addicted to.
