Phoenix has been in love with Gabriel was as long as he can remember but losing him so tragically hasn't gotten any easier even after five years. As he struggles with his loss, he yearns for Gabriel...
This story ended way too quickly. I wanted more. So much more. Also, I was completely unaware that this was a short story. So the ending caught me by surprise and I was reluctant to let this story and its characters go.
I remember having gotten through just the very first page of this story and being shocked at how invested I already was in these characters. This was a very engrossing story from its very first words.
It was a story of loss and overall this story has a melancholic tone but everytime Phoenix would talk of Gabriel it was like a ray of light passing through dense black clouds. Their love was palpable. God I would have loved to read about them during the time they were together.
I understood Gabriel's grief. I understand his actions but I don't know how justified he is if at all but I really did want him to get all the happiness he deserved.
I found myself really invested and at the risk of repeating myself, I would love to see how these two are together because the image of them together has me bursting with love and hope.
Cover Art by Written Ink Designs. I really liked the cover especially because combined with how the story starts, it leaves a very vivid impression of innocence and love.
Please, read this book. It's beautiful and heartbreaking and beautiful.....did I mention beautiful? If you cry at emotions 🙃 then get your tissues ready.
I was reading outside and I had goosbumps. GOOSBUMPS, PEOPLE.....ITS 80 DEGREES TODAY!!
Just, please don't take my word for it. It's a short read and it's.....well..... heartbreakingly beautiful.
🕊️I was gifted with an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review. 🦅
🤓📚💖This review is simply the opinion of one woman who enjoys her books. I may have rated it 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but don't take my word for it, go find out for yourself. 💖📚🤓
Let's just say I have ambiguous feelings about this story. On the one hand I love it. The writing is powerful and very expressive as always. I am truly a fan of Nell Iris. So on this one hand I am all for this wonderful neverending type of love and I strongly believe in an alternate universe where Angel and Firebird can live happily ever after... on the other hand... I can't tell you that. I would have to spoil the story for you... let's just say that other emotions have been moved and woken while reading. You just have to give it a go and feel it for yourself.
What I can promise is that you will be moved, you will get the feels and also experience the power of true love. Enjoy.
Losing a love at any point in your life is tough, more so when that love is taken from Phoenix right in front of him at such a young age. Phoenix’s emotions are real, deep, and still raw even five years later.
A bittersweet and heartbreaking story with an ending I hoped would be different, but still beautiful all the same.
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
i write this review with tears on my cheeks and love for this story in my heart. Such a wonderful read!
I have no more words. Just read it.
