From the Author

Angel to the Rescue is the second book in the Mystery Angel Romance series. The cast of characters are different for each stand-alone love story, but the novels are similar in that an angel has been hidden within each plot. The angel's identity is not officially revealed until the finale unless the reader figures it out first. I hope you enjoy the story.

Rachel Kelly is a child psychologist very much in love with her Lt. Jake Dillon. Jake is a police negotiator. Their lives could not have been more in tune and perfect when Jake asked her to put his name on the mortgage she was about to sign for a little cottage. But to make things even better, he not only wanted his name on the mortgage, he wanted to make Rachel's last name Dillon instead of Kelly.

Rachel's world just flew out of orbit the day Jake asked her to be his wife. But more importantly he wanted her to be the mother of the dozen or so children he wanted. How could the day been more than all one could have hoped for. Rachel had the man she loved, the home they had chosen and children in the future. Nothing could ever bring her down out of orbit. Until they returned home and she got a call from her mother. That call had Rachel's world down spiraling back to earth. And her relationship with Jake ending.

Rachel and Jake must see each other living in the same town. As Rachel tries to find her way back to Jake she takes on three new young patients that will again change her life. Jay and Emily ages thirteen are each having problems in their respective homes. Each problem different from the other but just as harmful. Neither wants to open up to Rachel. And then there is Alex, just turning six with the deposition of an older child. Alex, sees and speaks to Angels. What has she gotten herself into now. During on session, Alex tells Rachel not to worry because an angel is coming to help.

When a hostage crisis erupts. Rachel and three special children are in the middle of it all. Jake must rescue the one and only woman he loves, stop a crazed man, and keep the children safe and sane. But unknown to Jake, he has help.

The Bible tells us angels watch over us and guard us in all our ways.

Author Petie McCarty takes this belief or this conceptual framework and weaves a compelling and inspirational novel. While a fulfilling romance, the book also is riddled with secondary characters whose lives spell mystery, heart ache and laughter.

The heroine, Rachel Kelly, is a child psychologist with a passion for children and for her ex-boyfriend, Jake. Rachel can’t share with Jake the secret tearing her apart and only impasse and misunderstanding abide between them. Hero, handsome police Lt. Jake Dillon, specialist in psychological profiling, loves Rachel deeply, but the two suffer misunderstandings of magnitude. Both are proud.

Jay and Emily, youngsters with problems no kid should have and which McCarty dares to address, come front and center and capture your heart. Throw in Alex, an adorable little kid who sees angels, to say nothing of the amazing ending of the book and you’ve an all-around winsome novel. Plus, you will probably believe in angels if you didn’t already.

I give this a five star easily.

This is the time reading anything by Petie McCarty and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. The author has given us a great story with awesome main characters and the secondary characters as great and help to pull the whole story line together. This story will pull into it's pages and will you there from start to finish. The heroine of this story is Rachel Kelly who just happens to be a child psychologist with a great passion towards children and one handsome ex boyfriend Jake. Poor Rachel has a secret that she can't share with Jake ,that's tearing her apart. And as for Jake Dillon who is sexy ,handsome ,hero police Lt,who specialist in psychological profiler . And who truly loves Rachel very deeply. These two seems to suffer some misunderstanding. But one thing about this amazing couple is they are both very proud. Then there's Jay and Emily who are youngsters with problems that no kids should have This story has an ending that will surprise you. I could go on and tell you how this story ends but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this great story you won't be disappointed.

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. Going into this book I have a few reservations because of how I felt about the first book but Rachel and Jake’s story was a great story. This story will pull so many emotions out of you. I enjoyed every second of their love story because not only did they make it a great story the secondary story line made it so much better.
Angel to the Rescue is a must read to me, Ms. Petie definitely drew me into this story and kept me there until the end. I have to say there were parts of the story I was like OMG I can’t read but IO stoke threw and was so happy I did.
This story while not long will hold you and won’t let you go. The plot, emotions, and characters will draw you into their world and hold you tight. I would read another book from her anytime .

this is given to me as an ARC from the Magic of Books Promotions and from the Author in exchange for an honest review .
so as a Christian i believe in miracles and Angels and Prayers for no matter the situation . and wow what a story and what innocence of Alex a boy who can see angels but also reminded of how Children can see things us adults can't especially if you have become Jaded by life and lose that way of seeing what is truly there than as a Child .
and then you have the abuse and unwanted attentions of someone who you do not like but also the other your related to but dealing with Abuse is never easy .
then you have a worker who works for you but is always grouchy but what if the person is not what they seem ,
and what of your fellow police officer is he really or is he more than meets the eye .
and what happens when you find out your partner is someone father who has finally realized you need to take back your family and protect them from someone who has ill intentions .
and to add to the Alex and how much children see
The Psalms 23
The LORD Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. Rev. 7.17
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
