Different than grocery store Angelsoft

We use Angelsoft TP all the time, and I thought this batch seemed a little thinner, different. This morning it confirmed my thoughts when I saw a roll from the grocery store leftover, next to a roll from this batch in our bathroom. See picture - Amazon on the left, grocery store on the right. The Amazon roll is visibley darker, even kind of looks like its made from recycled paper instead..? Has a newspaper look to it. It's much stiffer, thinner than my grocery store roll. Again, this is the EXACT same package, roll count, everything as we buy from the grocery store. Very disappointed.

Larger cardboard tube, less actual toilet paper

I am fine with the product itself. My issue is with the new, increased size of cardboard holder. I have been ordering for months from Amazon Prime Pantry. We give dogs the old cardboard tubes to play with. Suddenly we notice a huge difference in size of tubes. As you can see from photo, the older tube fits very nicely inside newer tube. I'm so disappointed to see this. We couldn't figure out why we were suddenly going thru a roll so quickly. I'm frustrated with a product with such a good reputation, would try to mislead their consumers. I hope Amazon sees what they are doing and remove them from their Pantry offers. They have lost our household plus those I have been sharing with on social media.

Larger cardboard roll.

The product is not substandard, it is the packaging of the product...it is meant to fool those not observant.
The rolls appear to be the same size as always, however, the cardboard roll is much larger than the standard cardboard roll. In fact, you can leave an empty standard roll on the dispensing roller and place this new size roll over the old sized one with lots of room to spare between the two rolls.
In other words, the rolls do not last longer you may, in fact, be changing them out more often.
In the end, I buy this product when my budget is tight and I need the product no matter what the circumstances and the paper never clogs up the toilet or taxes the septic.

Reeks of fragrance!

Package says unscented (which is not necessarily the same as fragrance free) but even while still wrapped, pack reeks of "fragrance." Put the two packs I received outside for a few days in the wind, but they still are drenched with "fragrance." Cannot even bring them into the house! Opened one, and it smells even worse inside, leading me to believe the TP was contaminates with fragrance from within. Product description says that product is made with nothing but paper pulp. If so, was it contaminated later from proximity to something strongly fragranced? Yuk. Never thought I'd have to return toilet paper! BTW, EVERYTHING in the Prime Pantry box was contaminated with the fragrance and had to be aired out outdoors for a few days before I could bring the other items in the house. All I bought were paper products, none of which had inherent fragrance. Good thing I didn't buy food!

what a joke, tiny, tiny rolls

LOL, what do they consider a "double roll" ? 16 squares instead of 8 per roll? and keep in mind about 5, 6 yrs ago they made all rolls shorter than they used to be.. meaning they used to be the length of your toilet paper roll-fixture.. now they are about 3 inches shorter.. did they think we women wouldn't notice? You practically have to take a mortgage out these days to buy tp!

I only bought this because I needed to fill out a Pantry box and thought what the hell, give it a shot. I can't believe anyone likes this for real, unless they were previously used to sandpaper or dry leaves.

Angels should sue. This is slander. It's not soft, unless soft now means "falls apart into useless confetti" or "shreds like spaghetti squash." If this is what angel soft is, though, I think I may have an explanation for church attendance lately.

Never again.

This toilet paper is different then Angel Soft toilet paper I buy at my grocery store, it's hard for me to believe it is even the same brand. The roles have very little paper and they tear very easily when using. I will not be purchasing this online again.

I've been buying this for over a year from Amazon because it was such a good deal for the amount of toilet paper and the quality was great - really soft, durable toilet paper. But the last shipment I received seems like it is the cheap dollar store brand, definitely not the same stuff I've been buying for the last year. The "double" ply is coming apart as you unroll it. At the start of each roll, it's got so much glue that I have to rip it higher up to even get the roll started.
I feel silly even writing a review on toilet paper but every time we use it, I get more and more irritated that there was such a drastic change to the quality and yet I paid the same amount of money for it.
