Have you experienced pain, hurt, despair, and loneliness?
Devotionals for the Brokenhearted is a Wake Up Call to a Better Life
Because we are imperfect beings living in an imperfect world life has the propensity to create circumstances that cause us pain. Many times our hearts become broken in the process.
But there is a hope. When we place our focus on God and His Word a way can be found to our emotional and spiritual healing.
Devotionals for the Brokenhearted is a 30-day journey of inspiration, encouragement, and prayer. In it your focus will be directed to the Ultimate Healer of the broken heart and be led along a path that culminates in a refreshing of your peace and joy. As you begin each day with one of the devotionals and meditate on its precepts, you can expect God to show up.
Why are you hurting? Is it due to the loss of a loved one? A broken relationship? Disappointment? Loneliness? Spiritual or emotional pain? Whatever it is, your heart is broken and you deserve some peace, some encouragement, some comfort. Our prayer is that you will find at least some of this within the pages of this book.
Our Lord offers us encouragement all throughout scripture that we are not alone and that we have a hope. One such passage reads, The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 KJV
Heed The Call
For the next 30 days we invite you to read a devotional a day and allow yourself to come into God’s presence and receive healing. Set some soft praise and worship music to play in the background. You may even want to light a candle to set the mood. Let this be your “date time” with God. After each read prayerfully tell Him honestly and sincerely what is in your heart. He hears every word, sees every tear. Cling to the Word and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you in that special way that only He can.
If you will just allow Him to take control you will come through on the other side with a refreshing.
God is able to take the deepest hurt and turn it into something good in a way that you would never expect. When the author’s first husband passed away she turned in her grief to scripture and she states that it was as if our Heavenly Father was actually wrapping her up in a loving embrace, leading, guiding, and carrying her to newfound wholeness, and if He can do it for her He can do it for you too.
Welcome here, my friend. We’re happy to take this journey with you. May the words on these pages help to give you focus, and may our God grant you peace and comfort and give you the answers that you seek.
Featuring a foreword written by Apostle Jerome Cade, Senior Pastor, Behold the Light Christian Ministries, Decatur, Georgia.
