He and I have been best friends since 5th grade. We shared a lot, we partied a lot, but there was always something he held back, something he wouldn't share, but I could see it was eating away at him. Of course in those days I knew very little about the world and if he'd told me what was happening in his life I would have thought he'd gone off the deep end. This is why satanism is invisible, it's so beyond normal human motivations and experience that normal people can't believe it could possibly exist.
When he finally told me what had been happening all those years ago it was like a revelation for me. Suddenly all the evil I'd known and seen and read about here in the USA and worldwide, and the mysterious impunity that protects it, made perfect sense. Satanism is both a business model for organized crime and a self-perpetuating intergenerational pattern of child abuse going back centuries, with all the emotional deformity and insane rage that this entails. The antithesis not just of love, but of existence itself. Its adherents are truely possessed by an alien force, and their power in the hierarchy is a measure of the depth of their rage and misery. It has affected all of us to one degree or another, but very few have looked it in the face and seen it with clarity, and virtually none have then turned their back on it and lived to tell the tale. Kerth has armed the rest of us with an understanding of what we're really dealing with, and for that we all owe him a huge debt of gratitude.
Thinking about the day when he put his foot in the lawnmower, the event has taken on an almost religious significance to me. He was nearly lost to an unfathomable evil, but with divine grace and Kerth's own inner strength, his life and soul were saved through sheer physical courage and endurance. This is the stuff of legends.
I feel privileged to know a genuine hero, and to be fighting alongside him in the battle of the ages.
This book is an easy read, hard to put down, and told by someone who knows.
