All that being said, the author really, really, really should have had some professional editing done on his manuscript before releasing it out into the big, bad word. This may be hard to believe but some of us out here do still care about spelling and punctuation. Punctuation was consistently very poor in regards to dialouge. These problem could have been easily fixed with a copy of "Elements of Style" by Strunk and White. Sadly during one particular stretch of the book I turned into an editor instead of a reader which made the book incredibly hard to enjoy. I had to force myself away from doing that and just let the numerous errors go by the way side.
I hope Michael Rogers will continue to write and improve on his craft. He certainly has a talent for it and a very innovative and unique imagination. There were some passages that were amazingly well written and then others that felt very forced and didn't flow at all. Like any skills, practice - practice - practice and a good editor could make Michael's work shine to the level it truly deserves!
