This is a wonderful book that is uplifting for children and adults. The message is comforting and the approach is supportive and encouraging.
Just stop and pray,
And angels come,
To save the day.
How could I not fall in love with this book? It is marked as "Children's Literature" but I assure you any adult will also find comfort in this book. The author has comforting words and images for every time you feel down or up.
It is also the perfect book to read to your child at bedtime or when the family is going through a difficult situation especially when a friend or family member is facing illness. From personal experience, I used this book to explain to my two elder children about a close friend's illness. They were comforted but it also led to questions about her condition and as a mother I appreciated this long talk we had because I was able to respond to thoughts and feelings they had previously not brought up.
Would I recommend this read? Absolutely. I recommend it for both adults and children. If you were a fan of the Touched by Angel series, you will love this book.
Offensive content?: Based on language and settings, I would recommend this book for all ages.
Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author. I did not receive any payment in exchange for this review nor was I obliged to write a positive one.
There were several things I enjoyed about this book.
Size, for one. The print book is as large, if not larger, than a magazine. So easy to read.
It also allows you to view the fabulous illustrations. As you turn the pages, you’ll have these wonderful full sized and vivid illustrations and on the opposite page, in bold text, will be an inspirational rhyme.
I’m fascinated by angels. Yes, I do believe in them and that they walk among us.
While this is directed towards parents to read to their young ones and for early readers, adults can enjoy it for themselves too.
I keep it on my work table and occasionally open it up to read again. I enjoy the way the content is written as rhymes, and have memorized many of them. I’m inspired and encouraged just like children would be.
Brings a smile to my face. And I’m sure parents and their children will be smiling too after reading this book.
I received this book for my honest review.
Many emotions are coverd in this delightful book, from happy to sad to encouraging.
It will not surprise me if the kids memorized the text and repeat it as they play and create imaginatively.
I did receive this book as part of a blog tour but the enjoyment and opinions are my own.
I received a free copy of this book from the author. This review contains my honest opinions, which I have not been compensated for in any way.
The book rhymes and there us a short sentence on each page, along with a colorful drawing depicting the picture. Our boys loved turning the pages on this quick read.
I received this book through Pump Up Your Book Book Tours, and was not required to give a positive review.
