The natural ingredients, HOWEVER,I highly suggest NOT using the dosage on bottle, I have used on numerous pets over the years,...I use ONE HALF of directions for two weeks and THEN EVERY OTHER day, for about 6 weeks, then once a week there after, ..I have used on Shih tzu, poodles, yorkies, and several other dogs and cats with tear stain problems.
I honestly believe the manufacturers suggested dose is to simply get more money, revenue for the product. I have never used full dose and my pets eyes are as clear as can be. Every couple of months, I use NONE, for a whole month or two, and his eyes are still clear. This is not a pleasant taste, and rarely do i hear of a pet liking it. I mix mine with a 1/4 cup of water and bit of wellness can food, like a "special drink" for him. Cannot tastes.
I see people waste money on cheap wipes and drops and all the other b.s out there, which is more harmful than good....If you want something that works, spend the 25.00 on it, and again, use 1/4 to 1/2 the suggested use. My one bottle last me one year!!!
What I did see was my house-broken 10 year old dog lose control of her bladder and actually pee in the house a couple of times. At first I attributed it to old age, but then realized that one of the ingredients, cranberry powder, was probably the culprit.
Another thing I did notice was that the flavor of this, dried chicken liver, drives my dogs crazy, in a good way. So I now use a little bit on their food to entice them to eat it all up. As with a lot of dogs, they tend to get finicky at times with their meals. But now that I sprinkle a tiny bit of this on it, we don't have the problem as much anymore, and I didn't toss away $25.
So in summary, this didn't work for me as was recommended, there is a possible side effect with the cranberry powder, and the flavor makes this a good, albeit pricey, alternative to get those sometimes finicky dogs to eat their food.
Decided to try this "Natural" formula, and at first it was fine. But within 3 months, the tear stains started to return a little. Eventually I found I had to add an additional 1/4 teaspoon halfway through the week to maintain results that the Original formula had produced. So, that's 50% more every week, to achieve same results as the Original formula.
Thanks, but no thanks - I'll go back to Original formula.
