What would happen if the United States found itself torn apart from another World War? Would it survive as we know it today? Would the United States of America still be united, Still be one nation under God? Natalie Thomas explores these questions and others in her newest Serena Wilcox mystery.

Natalie Thomas brings detective Serena Wilcox back for a brand-new thriller. In this new book, Serena Wilcox finds herself in a situation where she must choose to protect herself, her husband, and most importantly, her children. She and her family are on the run. Hiding deep within a country that has been torn apart, literally, from the ravishes of WW III. Eyes are everywhere, though, and soon, the hiding turns into a fast-paced game of cat-and-mouse, with Serena and her family in the center.

Spell-binding, this is one book that is hard to put down. So glad I read it. I enjoyed every minute of it.

This book was absolutely fantastic! Action, suspense, mystery-I could not put it down once I started. I felt like it was taking me too long to read each page, because I wanted to get to the next one! I recommend it whole-heartedly.

As a long time fan of Natalie Thomas's work; this is my favorite! I loved previous work too; The Serena Wilcox Mysteries: Books 1, 2 & 3 this bundle is a steal for being able to get caught up with one my favorite characters. Angel's Mark kept me on the edge of my seat, and as a cautionary tale left me pondering the state of our nation and the direction we're headed in a way I haven't considered before. A great read by a fantastic author; get them ALL!

Just wanted to warn other readers who are looking for a good mystery to read. This is not it. It's actually a futuristic political novel. I actually had to force myself to finish reading it. It's so far fetched and unbelievable. Can not believe all the 5 stars because if I could have given it none, that's how I would rate it.

I really wanted to like this book. The opening about what could be the Mark of the Beast and a family trying to hide, was quickly lost in a confusion of other plot lines. This book jumped around with no good time line. The characters were underdeveloped. It was a frustrating read.
I wish the author had taken a little more time to hash out the story lines and characters, because I really do think the idea was good.

Glad I only paid $.00 for this one! Plot sounded good but I found it to be very contrived and insipid. I have not read anything else by this author, but am surprised that readers enjoyed them if they were written in the amateurish style of Angels Mark. I DID finish the book, and surprised myself by doing so (hence my 2 star rating rather than 1).

There were some ideas that I felt were not correct. Especially concerning the nuclear bombs. Perhaps I have been misinformed. The characters were well thought out and likable. There were a lot of errors in the printing of this book and with today's technologies I think they would be caught. There was enough action to keep me reading.

I read this book three times back-to-back and kept copious notes to make sure that I understood the timeline of the plot as well as who the various characters were. Luckily it was interesting enough to hold up under that kind of scrutiny! Ms. Thomas has the most remarkable ideas for memorable plots, and she makes her mysteries realistic as well as a little futuristic. The writing style is well developed and doesn't get in the way of the flow of the story. The editing is also superior to that of many of the Amazon Kindle freebies. Yes, I'd be happy to recommend Ms. Thomas' books to potential readers!

It would be helpful if there were more detail about everyday life in the US following WWIII; it seems as though some cities were completely wiped out but life went on relatively unchanged elsewhere. I'd like to know why there wasn't an economic collapse, why communications and interstate commerce weren't also decimated, or if that happened but the country had managed to recover somewhat. I think this author's fertile mind could have fleshed out her plot to write a richer, more in-depth and better book.

It was puzzling to see the anti-ID chip software referred to in the book as both Angel Mark and Angels Mark...I would have thought Angel's Mark would have been the right way to write it. A little glitch like that certainly won't keep me from diving right into the next book in the series, 'Covert Coffee,' though!
