In this movie, Corrine Nelson (Jessalyn Gilsig), a youngish woman (late thirties perhaps?) has been working in the record store of her high school friend, Dave Sheridan (Graham Abbey). While for her, her friend has always been just that, a friend, he has always been in love with her but didn't know how to show it or express it to her.
Corrine has just had a bad break-up with her ex-boyfriend and is trying to lift her holiday spirits while decorating with her Christmas ornaments with her girlfriend. She tells her friend about her grandparents who met and fell in love at Christmas time years before and especially about a caroler's ornament. When a group of carolers come to her door and seem to be the exact replicas of those on the ornament, a little bit of Christmas magic begins.
One of the carolers, Harold (Sergio Di Zio), is hired by Dave at the record store and befriends Corrine. He also takes an interest in getting Dave to open up and tell Corrine how he feels about her. Corrine becomes friends with Harold but also becomes obsessed with finding out more of his mysterious past.
There is a touch of magic with an angel who provides assistance to the Corrine and Dave and just who that angel is is part of the story.
The movie is a sweet one with some touches of past sorrows. It is a story of long lost love and newly found romance. I watch other movies for reality but I allow myself to indulge in Hallmark movies for their sweet and happy endings.
