I was truly honored to have Emunah on my show; Philippe Matthews Show After Hours and have her share with me all of the nuances of the Angry Black Woman Syndrome and share the overtly arrogant history of the media and propaganda that is layered in every aspect of America's media and abroad.
When you are born into a war against Melanated people, you assume it as entertainment and unconsciously internalize it. Emunah's book shakes you awake and you will never fall asleep again once you know the true agenda of America's modern day media.
Thank you Emunah for taking the time to research and author this most necessary work!
I read this book under 3 hours in total, took me about two days separately.
It’s a quick, simplified, yet complex book that requires critical thought and observation of what we as humans mentally “consume.”
Although I think this book is written to target women of a specific culture and race, I found as a man it’s equally important to read. The content the author has tailored and designed to disseminate asks for a deeper look into where the issue arises from. And where people can essentially start healing themselves from within.
The self-healing portion is presented in a realistic, holistic manner that will result in painful, yet releasing growth. This book is on my top 10 books of 2016. I highly recommend it for anyone, women or men.
Thank you, Emunah Y'srael.
Often white women can display very similar behavior and they will not always be labeled angry. You may have successful black women appear "angry," but what you don't know is that the woman's knowledge has been passively questioned. She may have been passed over for raises or promotions she deserved. She may have been told her hair did not look professional yet her white counterpart can stroll in wit a "messy bun."
I felt this book was set out to blame black women solely for the anger they feel navigating a society that may very well be hostile to THEM.
