The digital version fits our lives better. I have a kindle and keep books like this one on it. It allows me to take it with us to the sporting events and entertain my youngest. After receiving this book I was at a soccer tournament and sitting in the stands waiting for the next game. I pulled this book up and started reading to my youngest son. Before I knew it three other kids sat around us and were pointing and commenting on the book. One parent even came to ask me what book it was because her son had talked non-stop about it.
All in all this is a great book for kids. I recommend it to any family looking for a cute well written animal book that isn't just the typical "the cow says moo" book.
I receivedAnimal Farm: Fun Facts About Farm Animals: Farm Life Books for Kids (Children's Farm Animal Books) this book at a discount in return for giving a truthful and unbiased review. Enjoy.
I gave this ebook only 4 stars because it just seemed just eh. It seems the format for this book and most of the Baby Professor books have a picture with a paragraph and facts on the page. Then the next page is just a photo. It would be nice if they had another paragraph on that page as well. But again, since many are free it's hard to complain. Again they are very basic books that I hope will get my kids interested in finding more about each subject.
I plan on keeping these books on my iPad for down time for my kids when they get bored waiting different places like the doctors office or practice for a sibling. I sometimes entertain a friends 3 year old daughter who loves to look through pictures on my phone. Next time we are together I plan on getting these books out and I can't wait to see which books she picks out.
***** I received this ebook for free for my honest review. *****
The pictures depict the narrative and provide an excellent backdrop to the facts and interesting tidbits that the Baby Professor provides for the audience.
I do think that this book could be used as a shared reading between an adult and child in grade 3, however, some of the vocabulary is a bit too sophisticated, that is why I recommend it be used as a read aloud or to be read with the child, of course an older child could read this independently. Yet, I believe children as young as 2 could enjoy reading this for the picture value. Good job Baby Professor.
I received this kindle book for free for my unbiased opinion.
My 4th and 5th graders even enjoyed this book. They are our true farm boys they could care less about sports they'd rather be in a pig pin getting their pigs ready for 4H so this book really hit home with them. They actually learned alot about the different types of farm animals there are and really enjoyed the facts they learned. My 4th grader went to school and quizzed his teacher haha!
Overall it's a great book for kids of any age especially if they are animals lovers. The pictures are well illustrated and the book layout itself is great and easy to follow.
