What this means for a listener is that, if you're into Accept, but know nothing of Udo's solo work, this is going to be your best starting point. Nothing here would have been out of place on any album by Accept, though Udo hasn't deviated too much from that classic metal sound over the years anyway.
Speaking to the reissue, I have never heard the prior issues of this album, so I don't know how the audio stacks up. Standing on its own, it seems to have a reasonable amount of dynamic range and doesn't betray any brickwalling to my ears, so sensitive hands must have been guiding the board if it was remastered. Unfortunately, there's nothing enticing about the bonus material, so unless you must have all variants of these releases, you're probably best served passing. For Animal House, the bonus cuts are all live and, while serviceable, don't differ enough from the studio versions to stand out.
If you've never heard or owned this album, this edition is solid enough. If you already have a copy, there's nothing I've read or heard in here myself that indicates an upgrade is essential.
He picked different musicians, including Rudy Graf and Peter Szigeti both from ex. Warlock (I still longing for this band) and wrapped them in Accept sound (completely bingo). This is a very good album, although it is not UDO's the best album. Classic tunes are Animal House, They Want War, Go Back To Hell, They Want Loud, Warrior etc, etc. Highly recommended for those who enjoy in classic heavy sound.

Udo has a rock & roll voice, and I saw him when he was the front man for "ACCEPT". He's a rock & roller and can belt out those songs like a professional. Read morePublished 15 months ago by Tommy Trash
