I purchase a lot of these types of costumes to use for photo shoots with my goats and, of all the brands I have bought, Animal Planet brand is by far the BEST quality! So many of these dog costumes are so poorly made they just don't hold up beyond one wearing...no so with these.
The fabric is good quality, stitching well done and most important the sizing is accurate.
I purchased the size Medium and it fit my 30lb goat well - even a little big for the head piece BUT keep in mind that a goat's head is smaller and much differently shaped than a dogs so I expected to have to adjust the head piece to fit.
The enclosed information shows how to modify the head piece to allow room for ears and, if your dog has long ears that stick up, you will need to make this adjustment to avoid them flattening out and sticking out behind the head piece.
Of course, I had to make the modification to allow the goats horns to stick out of the top!
One thing I didn't like so much was that the antennas don't stick up but rather flop over. They should have used a stiffer material on these to keep them standing up.
I plan to modify them with black pipe cleaners to fix this issue :)
The other thing you may need to do if you have a dog that is thicker and muscular in the chest area is to either make the elastic straps longer (the ones that slip over the arms to hold the wings on) OR use an extender between the two straps underneath on the dogs chest.
This might be a deal breaker for some folks who want to use it as is right out of the package and don't want to have to make adjustments but it's really no big deal and I'm used to having to modify these costumes to work for goats :)
This is one of the cuter costumes out there with bright, vibrant colors!
My Lily had fun wearing this...really she did!

I ended up cutting off the elastic straps and hot gluing the base of the costume to her harness. The hat made my dog look ridiculous and there was no way she would keep it on. I removed the antennae and fastened them to her collar.
The wings seemed to way her down. They just flop out horizontal- not flipped up like the advertised picture. Overall the material for the wings were sturdy enough and did not fall apart.
My dog was cute and happy after I made the adjustments and she wore it all day (brought her to work). I also added some sparkle to the wings. The pics show before and after pictures.
Other than that, this costume looks very nice in person and appears to be well made. I got an extra small for my 10-lb dachshund mix and the wings fit perfectly under her front legs. The headpiece is too big on her, but I kind of expected that - she has a very small head. ;)
