About the Author
In 1987, Dr. Rath discovered the connection between vitamin C deficiency and a new risk factor for heart disease- lipoprotein(a). After publication of these research findings in the American Heart Association journal Arteriosclerosis, Dr. Rath accepted an invitation by Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling. In 1990, he came to the United States to become the first Director of Cardiovascular Research at the Linus Pauling Institute in Palo Alto, California.
Under the banner of cellular health which theorizes that effective treatment for many health issues starts at the cellular level Dr. Raths scientific and clinical research has shown that vitamin deficiencies cause the most common chronic diseases, such as heart attacks and strokes. His work has also led to insights about the use of cellular health solutions to treat cancer and high blood pressure.

And then after receiving and reading the book, I thereby discovered a historical case which I never before had heard about, and at the actual time then living in Denmark. The case about how FDA, for the pharmaceutical industry, way back in 1991, in the parliament submitted the desire for a new law by which citizens only should be allowed getting vitamins and minerals by receipt!
By this case it’s clearly seen as a proof that the pharmaceutical industry knows that if citizens increase in taking more vitamins and minerals, then we no longer so often will be hit by heart attacks, cancer, and so, and thereby ending by doctors and put on the dangerous patented drugs. And this I matter of billions of $ which the drug producers will lose if people start in living healthier.
The reason for using receipts is of cause meant for the more or less dangerous drugs, so thereby not ending at wrong persons, or being getting too much too long. But why should vitamins and minerals now be dangerous, as we until now (or until around 1950), as long as man has existed, automatically have received enough of these vitamins and minerals by our food? While we actually now a days are getting much unhealthy food and thereby missing these vitamins and minerals, and furthermore dirt in the air, bad chemicals in for example clothes, and so on, and thereby daily needing more vitamins and minerals than earlier in history.
So by FDA wanting this law clearly tells us how FDA not is taking care for the human health but instead sponsored by the pharmaceutical producers, from whom it actually receives most of the payment. But it’s interesting, and luckily, to read about how the citizen won against the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry. But as we see that after the case in USA then the story was repeated in Europe, by which we see how hard the pharmaceuticals fight for earning money no matter how many dead patients it causes. And strangely, I never before in other of my hundreds of health and doctor books, or in news, have heard or read about these important juridical health cases.
Actually, as told by the books title, the books content is concerning heart attacks, and about this it’s interesting to read how the first research result which already came way back in 1990 then came with the conclusion that the heart attack actually is caused by too little C vitamins. Where historically this problem already was discovered when the Europeans started to sail to the other parts of the World and the on the chips were missing frosts, and vegetables, and thereby C vitamins. And we read that see this proved by putting some of the New Guinea pigs on a food parallel to the human food, that is by containing too little C vitamins. Where the New Guinea pigs being used as they are among the very few animals, which like the human beings, not by them self in the body are producing the C vitamin, as for all other of the animals.
And in the book we get enormous many drawings, by which we step by step see the processes that actually is going on. And concerning the heart attack we see that for the New Guinea pigs the heart attack comes faster than for peoples, and read why. And we get some interesting pictures, as for example some showing arteries from respectively a pig missing C vitamins and one getting as much as normal, where for the first one showing a case of a bad artery. And on the sides 40 and 41 we by 6 pictures see a case of coronary heart disease, and how it after a year on the health recommendation is back by again being normal.
And throughout the book, beside the actual heart attacks we get many interesting, and with drawings detailed, chapters concerning cholesterol, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, diabetes, cellular medicine (vitamins and minerals). And in each chapter also many interesting letters from “patients”.
The book was printed in 2009, and Dr. Rath then thought that after 10 years it would have turned over into more understanding and results concerning hearth attacks, and other sicknesses. But to me it most looks like actually nothing have changed, during the now past 7 years. The pharmaceutical industry has too much money-power, and most doctor only read the papers which the received from the drug, producers, plus % for selling.
Altogether an excellent book with much important information.
Personally, I had chest pains, tachycardia (sorry about spelling, racing heart beat at night) and high blood pressure. I was pretty frightened about it all. I sort of put a request to find an answer, while at the healthfood store, this book jumped out at me. I read it in 2 days, went back to the store with my shopping list of supp's, spent about $200 (I bought everything in the book) and hammered the vitamin C and took about 20 pills/day. In a month, my symptoms were relieved, completely! I still take C and MSM (google it) eat a much better diet... paleo-ish, no grains or refined carbs. Best health I've ever been in.
Thanks!!!
