If you want to be an animator, this is a MUST in your library sitting right next to your copy of the Illusion of Life.
This is CORE reading for aspiring animators and a survival guide for working professionals. For the last 11 years of my career, I have referred to this guide religiously.
This book goes over the basic tenets of animation, and several things your instructors will drill into your head. My 3d animation teacher tells us three things when we start our projects, and that is "Reference, reference, reference."
This book is worth its weight in gold if you are an animation student. Buy it. You will not regret it.
The author does a great job of taking a somewhat dry topic and making it interesting, it's hard to put the darn book down! And even when you do, you just wanna go an animate, even if you don't have time!
Wonderful book that I would recommend to anyone.
