Unfortunately I can't use these for the charging station I bought them for due to the fact that they're much shorter than I expected and won't bend around with enough length to reach both the USB port on the charger and the USB port on the phone. Honestly, I was surprised that almost 3" is taken up by the un-bendable connectors, so beware.

I've reviewed a lot of Anker's products (especially their micro USB cables) over time.
There's not a lot more I can say by now except I found it a great idea to have a small length like this.
4 inches is actually perfect for some people like me who use protective cases for portable chargers.
With a size option this small the cables fit perfectly in the charging case and still leave plenty of room for more.
(Specifically I'm referring to cases made by "Hermit Shell" if anyone's curious).
A size this small is conveniently short yet also just long enough you can lay down your device next to your charger.

Perfect size to connect a phone to an external battery

I like this short cable because I can connect my phone to an external battery, and put the phone, and the charger in my shirt pocket, and the phone charges without a coil of cable either hanging out, or being stuffed into the pocket. Even when you're charging your phone from a laptop, it's the perfect length cable to lay your phone next to your laptop, without a bunch of extra cable being in your way. The cables seem to be very sturdy, and well made. Especially for travel, these cables don't take up much room, and are perfect for charging your phone, or other device from your laptop while you're out and about. I'm very pleased with the quality and convenience of these cables, and would highly recommend them.

Don't you know though, only two weeks later, the suits at the office decided to upgrade our phones. Yeah, I had a Galaxy S7, so last year. Boo, the S10 uses a new plug. What am I going to do with these ten cords that don't fit anything, now? Progress, at what cost?

(Would be nice if manufacturers provided measurements in same way, I’m sure that some are giving the cord measurement not including the connectors so it’s hard to shop for the length you need)

While there's not a lot to say about these little cables, one thing is for certain - they come in very handy if you pack them with a power bank in your backpack. I carry 2 lightning cable versions and 2 micro USB versions in my backpack wherever I go. On top of that, these are made by the best name in USB charging, at least in my opinion Anker is. I've tried other brands of cables and chargers, but Anker products always take the prize. And no, I don't work for Anker or get kickbacks. What I do is give them positive word-of-mouth advertising in exchange for outstanding products that I pay for like everyone else.

Anker is the best for the phone cables. I have ordered many cables from them and I don't have any complaints.

The cables are rather rigid and of the two, only one is straight, while the other is skew. Not a big deal really but I thought it worth pointing out. Due to its length the rigid skew one is slightly inconvenient to use. By skew I mean, while both the input and the output are horizontal, on the other cable, the input is horizontal while the output is not parallel. More like a 45 degree angle. But once again, no big deal they are great quality cables

Totally my fault, but I thought the cable length (excluding the ends) would be 10cm/4inches, but in fact it's the TOTAL length, this makes this a little short for what I needed. Nothing wrong with the product, have returned it for a refund. The Amazon Basic cable lengths are measured on the cable length less the ends.

These small cables really are excellent. I was looking for a short USB cable to use on my desk at work for charging my phone/headphones/bike lights etc during the day, and wanted something shorter than the usual 2/3ft, which get tangled and look messy.

First off, they are very well made, and seem durable. I've had cables that wear out around the connectors before, but these fill me with hope so far.

Secondly, for a cable this short, they still have a good amount of bend and flexibility. There is enough length in the cable between the connectors for you to angle and move whatever you're charging as you see fit.

All in all, a great purchase and I'm very happy with it.
