Ports require an initial reset after a few months

This worked great initially. Then we noticed that devices weren't charging. I figured it was a faulty cable or that it wasn't plugged in all the way. But now port 3 is flaky and port 4 doesn't work at all (see photos).

Thought it would be best to spend the money up front for a quality product, but if it doesn't last 6 months, it's not a quality product.

UPDATE: 1/29/16 - After learning that the charger just needs a power reset, the ports seem to be working fine now. Customer support was very aggressive in seeking an updated review. I hope they're as aggressive in trying to fix the problem and in working to put out an updated version.

Just didn't last very long (AT FIRST)

I have been using this charger for exactly three months to charge two Android smartphones (LG G2 & Samsung Galaxy S4), an iPod touch, a set of bluetooth headphones, and a bluetooth Jam speaker. The first several weeks I used this charger, I was delighted because it took up very little room on my desk and nicely removed the clutter of chargers clogging my outlets, freeing me from having to buy electrical outlet strips to accommodate my increasing number of devices.

That was then. Now, two or three of the ports don't charge anymore. The other day, the end ports were no longer charging my devices, so I tested the cables and devices by plugging them into a different outlet with their respective charging cords, and they began charging immediately. Today, however, it appears that those ports work again but others don't work.

Nowadays, I have to spend a few minutes plugging and unplugging cords to test which ones will charge a device. Frustrated, I bought a HiMobiler five port USB charger here on Amazon. It works perfectly so far. We'll see if I have the same problem three months from now.

I am sorry, but I cannot recommend this device for the long term. Five stars for how wonderfully it worked for three months, minus two stars for the problems (and because I'm being generous and don't wish to give a one or two star rating). Thank you for reading.

Not long after I posted my review, someone from the company contacted me and asked me to provide the serial and lot numbers of my device to them in an email. They were really apologetic and courteous, demonstrating concern and dismay that it didn't live up to standards. They apologized several times for the inconvenience, educated me on "cycling" the device off and on periodically to maximize (I think) the charge that can get cycled down when several devices of different battery powers and drains were plugged into the device simultaneously. Then, they sent me a brand new device, free of charge, and wrote me two more follow up emails to make sure I wasn't having the same problem again.

The replacement device works better, but not 100% perfectly. Every now and then, I find that one of the devices did not charge in its port. When that happens, I simply switch that device and its cable to a different port. Therefore, I always keep one port empty for swapping. Despite this minor detail, the device fulfills all of my charging needs.

Regarding other reviewers indicating clutter, well, there is still clutter -- after all, you have up to six charging cords attached to six devices on a surface -- but the clutter is contained, and when I purchased six 1-foot cables here on Amazon, it was contained and reduced even further.

In summary, I think you should give the device a chance. Even if you get a defective device, the customer service is stellar, and they will solve the issue for you.

This is an exceptional charger with a feature that everyone needs. The feature is PowerIQ charging technology for each of the 6 ports on this charger. That means that you can plug in any type of device and this smart charger will set the charging current to match the maximum charging rate that the device can safely handle. Many people don't realize that device manufacturers play games by wiring their devices and cables differently so that a charger that is designed to charge an Android device will not quickly charge an Apple device. Manufacturers like Apple, Samsung, Android devices and Chinese smart devices have different circuitry in them and if the charger doesn't match their circuitry they can charge at a slower rate. The IQ port doesn't care what type of device you plug into it because it adapts its charging rate to match what the device wants by sensing what type of device is plugged into it.

This is an ideal product for your work office, home office, a family charging station in the kitchen or to take on vacation to allow you to charge everyone's smart devices. Don't take and pack 6 different charging AC chargers, just take this one. If you have a guest to come into your office and they need to charge their phone or tablet, just plug it into this wizard of an AC wall charger.

The only limitation that you have is that the maximum combined charging current output of all 6 ports, if used at once, is 12 Amps at 5 VDC. Any one of the 6 ports can output up to 2.4 amps but you still have the limit of 12 amps. If you plug in 6 devices that try to draw more current combined than 12 Amps then the current is just cut down to not exceed 12 Amps. The ideal thing is that you don't have to worry which port you plug any device into. You know it is going to get charged quickly.

This charger operates on 100 to 240 VAC and at 50/60 Hertz. It comes with an 18 month warranty. The power cord is 5 feet long so you can plug it into the wall socket and place the charger on your desk. The nice thing about this is that it is protected using high quality industrial grade components. Make sure that you take all of your charging cables with you and it is best to use the original cables or ones that are certified for use with your devices.

This is an excellent product and I rated it at 5 stars and I recommend it to you.

I bought this thinking it was a USB hub. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was a charger? It was clearly a mistake on my part as I didn't read the description very well. I though, ok for the price I'll keep it and use it as a charger. I immediately plugged six USB chargeable devices into it including an iPad and iPhone. The 60W was more than adequate to charge everything overnight.

I like this little guy now a lot since I don't have to have so many "bricks/wall warts" around to charge everything. If you, like me, have far too many electronic devices which require USB charging this is a great little item to have on hand. It works beautifully.

The only complaint I have is the very bright LED light on it. If you like it dark in your bedroom don't use this charger there. I've had to cover mine to get the bedroom dark. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase.
