Great product does what it needs to do. Fast charged a Samsung S7 and S7 Edge. Charging ports light up blue, does not over heat like most, and only protrudes about an inch. Anker has never let me down.

After this review Anker did refund $24.99. I hope they newest model will be better but $44 for USB car charger that is insane.

However, the description is a bit misleading. I thought that if only one device is being charged, then the whole 39 watts (advertised) would be used for one device. But that's not true. THIS WILL CHARGE A MAX OF 19.5W PER DEVICE, regardless of whether one or two devices are plugged in.
Additionally, the product specs show that this will have an output charge of 2A at 12V (most manufacturers say this is 2x faster than the standard charger), but on the actual adapter it says 1.5A at 12V (picture shown). Which is it? Well since most standard car charger outlets are 12V (like in my car), most people will receive an output value of 1.625A. (With a simple calculation of: Amps = Watts/Voltage) So actual output is closer to 1.5A, NOT 2A.
Why does this matter?
First off, I thought I was buying a charger that could charge my phone at 3.25A (39W/12V = 3.25A) if only one device were plugged in. BEST case scenario, I only get half that. Since more Amps means my phone is charged faster, I look for chargers with more output power (Amps). Had I known this, I would've kept shopping around; Instead I took advantage of the sale.
I would still buy this charger again, but it helps to know what I'm actually paying for.

There's a compatibility list to go with charger but I'm happy to say my Huawei P9 [which is not on the list] and my Samsung S6 Edge which is capable of fast charging both charged noticeably quicker.
As usual with Anker products, the build quality is really very good. The unit is very robust with a professional level feel, unlike cheaper chargers there's no obvious place you could crack this unit open [if you're like me and look for these sort of things]. There's a knurled finish to the rim around the rim of the charge ports that gives it not only a nice grip to remove it from the car port with but also an almost carbon fibre finish.
Whilst not obvious when plugged in during the day there's a nice blue backlight to the two charge ports that make them clear to see in the dark.
Very happy with it little unit and it's fast charge ability. If you've been wandering about which one to get, steer clear of the overly cheap generic chargers that generally come in white with a million and one attachments and just get one of these; you might need to use your own cables but you won't regret going for this and it's quality build.

The charger certainly gives an instant impression of a premium product. It arrived nicely packaged and out of the box has a nice amount of weight in the hand. The carbon fibre ring that surrounds the two USB ports and the soft blue USB ports compliments the premium look and feel of this charger. Once plugged in, the USB ports provide a soft blue glow to make it easier to find the ports at night.
The charger is built with a temperature control and surge protection which is one of the reasons I purchased it to replace a cheap eBay charger. Secondly, it supports Quick Charge 3.0 which is a must if you own a modern smartphone. There is also a PowerIQ system which works by delivering the fastest possible charge to non-quick charge devices but does so safely without causing damage to the battery or internal components. Lastly, the maximum output of 39W means that you will be able to charge your devices at full speed.
I have charged my Google Pixel XL numerous times with this charger and it charges at the same speed as the original wall socket Pixel charger. I have also used it to charge an Nvidia Shield Tablet and Sat Nav and as expected it works flawlessly.
I would certainly recommend this Anker charger and in my opinion, the higher price tag compared to similar products is worth paying for guaranteed quality.
