The docking station worked pretty well right out of the box. A few observations:
1. The instructions, as many do now, are in multiple languages and a very small part was applicable. The key diagram and explanatory table were buried among all the other text, but it would have been helpful to have that information at the very top of the instructions, rather than in the middle of multiple languages.
2. I have an HP Spectre 360, and the charging function of the docking station is variable, i.e. sometimes it charges, sometimes it does not. I have to check periodically to make sure it's charging, otherwise I risk using all the battery reserve. It's a relatively minor issue and perhaps due to the detection by the computer of a non-HP power source.
3. Update: I had 2 HDMI monitors and a third was connected through a USB expansion device with an HDMI port. Decided to try using the display port instead of the USB expansion device, and when I plugged the third monitor into the display port using a converter cable for DP to HDMI, one of the other monitors would not show. No matter what combination I used, if I plugged the third monitor into the DP port, only 2 would show. So, I plugged my USB expansion device back in and voila! All three monitors showed again. I couldn't find any documentation online regarding this issue, so I have to assume that using the DP port along with the two HDMI ports negates one of the three. Interesting, but it decreases the score.
Overall, the device is still a nice addition to my desk. Prior to now, I had a number of USB hubs strung together with a mass of wires like a bowl of spaghetti, so the docking station with multiple ports is a definite improvement.

Charging Information
This dock supports up to 85W of charging via the USB-C upstream port on the back of the dock (indicated with a computer icon). The USB-C Power Delivery port (indicated by “PD”) supports 18W fast charging for your phone or tablet. The USB-A 3.0 port on the front supports 7.5W to charge smaller devices like smartwatches or headphones. The two USB-A data ports on the back of the dock do not support charging.

Q1: Will this dock work with any laptop? How do I make sure my laptop works with this dock？
A: This dock works with laptops with a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery. To confirm the USB-C port function of your laptop, consult your user manual or contact your laptop’s manufacturer. If your USB-C port doesn’t support DisplayPort Alt Mode, you won’t receive video output. If your USB-C port doesn’t support Power Delivery, the dock will work correctly with video and data (including audio and Ethernet), but would not be able to supply charging to your laptop.
Q2: Can I use my own USB-C cable to connect the dock to my laptop?
A: It’s recommended that you use the included 3 ft USB-C cable. If you need to use a different cable (due to loss etc.), then any other USB-C cable with support for USB 3.1 Gen 2 and 85W Power Delivery would also be compatible.
Q3: Do I need to install any drivers to use the dock?
A: No.
Q4: Is this dock compatible with computers that have a Thunderbolt 3 port?
A: Yes, however, it can only deliver a maximum bandwidth of 10Gbps, so it cannot not reach the maximum bandwidth of Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps).
Q5: Sometimes the dock doesn’t automatically reconnect after I wake up or restart my laptop. What should I do?
A: This situation doesn’t happen very often, but if you are having this problem, try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB-C cable or restarting the dock.

I have a 32" monitor, pen tablet, speakers, and peripherals that I had to plug and unplug every day. My goal was to get a docking station so I wouldn't have to keep wearing out the ports on my laptop. This succeeded with what I was trying to accomplish.The packaging was pretty good, no damage to the product inside at all. I think I'll keep the box, too it has a nice magnetic snap to it when you close it. The docking station itself was super easy to setup and comes with a beast of a power adapter(135w). Plenty of ports to utilize for your home office. The power LED on the front is subtle so nothing to worry about if you have it in plain view.Doesn't seem to support full 1440p through HDMI. With 1HDMI and 1DP hooked, I could only get 720p out of the pen tablet. With both screens hooked up to HDMI, I managed to get 1920x1080 on the pen tablet and 2048x1152 on the other. Not quite 1440p but not a major concern. Maybe it's bandwidth thing?Side note: I was a little bummed out that I couldn't utilize the pass-through charging, but that's because my laptop's type c port doesn't support it. The power adaptor that comes with this is 135w so it can easily handle it if your device supports it. The packaging was pretty good, no damage to the product inside at all. I think I'll keep the box, too it has a nice magnetic snap to it when you close it. The docking station itself was super easy to setup and comes with a beast of a power adapter(135w). Plenty of ports to utilize for your home office. The power LED on the front is subtle so nothing to worry about if you have it in plain view.
Doesn't seem to support full 1440p through HDMI. With 1HDMI and 1DP hooked, I could only get 720p out of the pen tablet. With both screens hooked up to HDMI, I managed to get 1920x1080 on the pen tablet and 2048x1152 on the other. Not quite 1440p but not a major concern. Maybe it's bandwidth thing?
Side note: I was a little bummed out that I couldn't utilize the pass-through charging, but that's because my laptop's type c port doesn't support it. The power adaptor that comes with this is 135w so it can easily handle it if your device supports it. I would also have preferred the 3.5mm to be on the back of the device the keep the cable desktop speakers tidy.
